When a horse is travelling at warp speed, it means they are dashing along up the front of the race like they've been fired out of a cannon.
Usually occurs when the horse doesn't want to settle and the jockey gives it full rein to run at top speed.
"Check out the leader! Pinged the gates and flying along at warp speed. I can't see them catching him."
