Quality Race Type


Quality races are usually set with enough prize money to attract a high standard of thoroughbred. Quality races are handicap races where the maximum weight that a horse will carry is set at 61 kilograms and the minimum weight is set at 52 kilograms (this may vary marginally depending on where the race is being held within Australia). The class of a Quality race may vary however typically it is rated underneath a Group, Listed and Stakes race.
