Flemington on Black Caviar Lightning Stakes Day. It doesn’t get much better than this!
With the rail in the true position, Flemington will play as one of the fairest tracks in the country, ensuring every horse gets its chance.
Wind conditions could be a slight factor, but being forward of midfield should still prove advantageous.
Let’s dive straight into the CS Hayes Stakes, where my early bet is.
Jack continues to nail his best bets at a good rate!
This colt brings some of the best 3YO form lines from the spring, and I’m confident he’s ready to fire first-up.
His trials leading into this race have been outstanding, and his form from the spring stacks up beautifully, running within 0.6L of Angel Capital in a Group 3 and just missing by 0.1L in the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas.
The setup is ideal—Barrier 4 with Billy Egan aboard, a jockey who rides on-speed horses particularly well.
Many of his rivals are using this race as a stepping stone, while Feroce is already proven at 1400m, making him the horse to beat.
The CS Hayes is shaping up as a hot race, and while I’ll likely have a couple more bets, Feroce is the one I want to lock in early.
Good luck, and let’s make it a winning weekend!
