With racing heating up, we’ve found two strong plays on the card that look well-placed to break through.
Both gallopers bring progressive form lines and have upside heading deeper into their preparations.
Let’s take a look at my tips for today’s meeting.
Mick continues to nail his best bets at a good rate!
This imported galloper produced a strong Australian debut, making up significant ground to finish third behind Puntin.
That runner has since franked the form by running second in town at his next start.
On debut, Seven’s was taken back from the barrier and spotted the leader 7L at the 600m, before charging home late over 1600m.
He now steps straight to 2100m in a small field, which should suit his racing pattern perfectly.
Look for him to be ridden conservatively once again before unleashing a big finish late.
He looks progressive and is likely a class above this group.
This promising galloper was ultra-impressive on debut, allowed to balance up before hitting the line strongly in a race that didn’t shape well for backmarkers.
Despite that, he produced a big final burst and was excellent through the line.
Since then, he’s been given a tick-over trial which suggests he’s ready to fire stepping up to 1400m.
This extra distance should suit him perfectly, and if he brings any natural improvement, he can win this and continue working through the grades.
Both Seven’s and Jacob’s Ladder bring plenty of upside and look like winning chances on the program.
