It was another lays masterclass last Saturday with both Switzerland and Sunshineinmypocket getting rolled at below $3.00 odds.
This week, we are taking on champion galloper Mr Brightside, who looks a high-risk proposition at short odds around Caulfield.
Meanwhile, at Rosehill, the hype around Bjorn Baker appears to have inflated the price of another runner, who now faces a Group-level field and represents poor value.
Jimmy Beeson continues to nail his lays at a good rate.

I’m happy to take on the champion galloper here, as this shapes as the right time to oppose him at very skinny odds in a deep field.
The speed map looks particularly ugly, with plenty of pace drawn underneath him and the added challenge of jumping from the widest barrier (gate 11).
The 1400m start at Caulfield is one of the worst positions to draw wide, as runners must navigate two turns increasing the likelihood of being caught wide throughout.
I can’t see him comfortably taking up a position if they opt to go forward, which leaves the only alternative to go back.
This represents a major risk at Caulfield and with several key rivals likely to have shot off before he winds up, he looks a prime lay opportunity at the short quote.
Avoid.
The hype around Bjorn Baker runners has reached fever pitch! While the stable is flying, this often results in their runners being over-bet, creating strong opportunities to oppose them.
That seems to be the case here, as Our Anchorage has been winning well in lesser grade (Benchmark 72-88) but now faces a sharp rise to Open company at Group level.
He will feel the difference in class here against seasoned Group performers, and there’s a strong chance he has reached his mark.
His wide draw (gate 9) and preferred forward racing style are also concerns, as he may be forced to burn early to find a position or risk being caught wide throughout.
Expect a market drift beyond $3+ as the bigger betting teams look to bet around him late.
