Race 1 #9 Rose Gold $5.00
I'm keen to play here in the opener at Goulburn.
This Michael Freedman trained filly has always promised so much yet poor barrier manners and racing at unsuitable tracks have subtracted from her performances.
If you go back through her replays she has always rushed home from impossible positions and tight-turning tracks like Gosford and Wyong are never going to suit.
She now comes to Goulburn and will appreciate the wide open pastures, plus the long straight.
Aggressive rider Lee Magorrian goes in the saddle and from barrier 6 can hopefully settle her a bit closer in the run.
There appears to be good tempo in this event and if she can get a sit off them, storm home down the centre of the track.
Best of the day.
Race 7 #11 Sweet Proposal $2.60
I believe the key to this filly is sitting more forward in the run and from barrier three here should be afforded every opportunity.
Fourth up and at peak fitness, now is the time to push the button.
Van Der Hoven takes the ride and has a great record on the horse with 3 placings from 4 starts.
She handles all track conditions and will thrive getting out to the mile.
Looks a quality bet towards the end of the card.
Race 6 #19 Slush Fund $6.00
Two 1000m trials will have this gelding ready to fire fresh here.
He has always shown plenty of promise and this could be the campaign where he puts it all together.
Ashley Morgan goes in the saddle and has piloted him to one of his previous wins.
He enjoys tracks with the cut out of them and is sure to enjoy the Tamworth track.
A great each-way bet in a race heavily affected by scratchings.
Race 8 #8 Octavian Treasure $2.00
This filly was forced to work overtime at Newcastle last start and was only collared late.
She will strip fitter for that effort and can use the wide gate to muster forward and slide across.
The 1000m dash is the perfect set up and Ben Looker pilots for the first time.
Looks very hard to beat.
