The early money again guides us on the hopes of several key chances, at both major Saturday venues.
At Flemington Gun international rider Joao Moreira is booked on a top chance for Ciaron Maher who may be looking to establish a deeper relationship with the rider by gifting him good rides for future favours.
Whilst at Randwick a gun sprinting mare is looking to tune up for an Everest tilt, and should have enough quality to cruise home over the top.

Sergeant Major
This lightly raced 3yo looks progressive coming off the two solid stakes grade runs, where he did enough to suggest he is a Saturday horse.
Last start he simply got too far back around Caulfield over 1400m, and was left flat-footed when they sprinted.
Out to 1800m for this is a completely different set-up and he looks very well suited as the big improver over a more suitable distance.
Declichy Boulevard
Dual acceptor both here and Randwick, however with Moreira booked here I expect she is racing in Melbourne.
She only just missed (0.2 lengths) when placing 2 of 10 last start at Caulfield, behind some sharp types, where the form should be strong.
The stable’s data team are very good at knowing when they are ready to win and I expect she is lighting up all the key metrics leading into this.
Von Hawke
The yard is very shrewd and with a smaller team, they are possibly underrated by the market at times.
He enjoys racing at Flemington (3:1-1-0) and with good form over longer, should be one of the strongest late here over the sprint trip.
Whilst they are likely to be running on, expect they try to apply pressure from a long way out and can be strongest through the line.
Berkshire Breeze
Ciaron Maher import who was shaping up as one of the stars of the Spring with dominant displays early in his Australian campaign.
He has since gone off the boil a touch, where at his latest chased hard to miss (3 of 9) against some smart ones here in the Archer Stakes over 2500m
The stable may have backed off him a touch leading into last start, and this is likely to be the race he is peaked up for again.
Hooligan Tommy
John Sargent always seems to find a very good horse early in the Spring and loves to test them on a home track Saturday meeting before heading to Melbourne.
This could be the case here with a horse that has had some easier assignments in the bush and is now ready for the pressures of metro racing.
He gets no weight after Molly Bourke’s claim and maps beautifully, in what appears a very winnable race.
St Lawrence
Above average galloper who is ultra-consistent and looks to be building to a win here with an excellent fitness base now established.
I’d love to see them roll forward early in this to put the horse into the race, and expect Tommy has the ability to do that on this occasion, with only a moderate tempo predicted.
The last start effort here was a complete forgive after the horse encounter plenty of trouble. He can atone.
Lazzura
Interesting Waller 3yo filly who is thrown in against the white-hot stablemate again here- Autumn Glow.
Whilst beaten in both key lead-up races this Princess Series, she has never been far away and if the good filly has an off day she is likely to be next in line.
From the outside draw, Craig Williams may show good intent early to race in a more forward position and this could make all the difference.
Bella Nipotina
Gun sprinting mare who dominated the Queensland carnival and looks right on track for an Everest tilt.
The small concern is they won’t be out to “gas” her here with the Grand Final looming, however in saying that she will probably need a good hit-out at some stage of the preparation and this could be it.
I would suggest they will be cruising up over the rise and her natural ability should be enough to run over the top of them all.
