Caulfield hosts a big day of racing with the feature being the Group 1 CF Orr stakes over 1400m.
The other main event we are covering is the Group 2 Rubiton Stakes over 1100m.
The CF Orr generally kicks off the season with the stars ready to shine and perform fresh.
The Rubiton should be fought out between horses first up from a spell, so whoever is the best prepared will come out on top.
The Caulfield surface is currently rated a Good 4 and warm weather should ensure perfect conditions.
We even could race on a Good 3.
The rail is true the entire circuit, so we would expect fair racing throughout the day.
As always refer to the earlier races for a good guide on track bias.

Artorius ($4) is the favourite in an open market and has been the best performed at this level.
He will need things to go his way with a ton of speed up front.
If he gets the tempo to suit he can power home.
Best Racing Tips
I am going with the first up specialist Ingratiating (3:2-1-0), who will get all the favours in the run.
He won a Group 3 at Caulfield over this distance and will stalk the speedsters throughout.
The Godolphin colt ran a ripper in the Group 1 Manikato Stakes, placing third behind Jonker which is a good guide to his chances here.
Artorius is looking to break a run of placings. He will be looking for clear air in the straight and steam home in his usual racing style.
Marine One is unknown at this level, however the money suggests he is up to it.
Oxley Road will be hoping he isn’t pestered in the lead, however it does appear that they will pour the pressure on early.

Sinawann ($4.20). Chased hard to nab second behind the very smart Marabi.
He ran on well and could be a real threat if he gets the right run.
Best Racing Tips
I’m Thunderstruck finished off a great campaign in the spring with a win in the Group 1 Toorak Handicap before winning the Golden Eagle.
He looked comfortable in a jump out recently and Jye McNeill will have him launching late from the back.
He should be in for a big prep.
Behemoth is well performed at this level and will give this a real shake.
Tofane finished a very close third to Behemoth in the spring so won’t be far way again.
Cascadian has been close up in his most recent runs and could easily cause an upset at long odds.
