The curtain comes down on The Championships at Royal Randwick this Saturday with a stacked Day 2 card.
From the Queen Elizabeth Stakes to the Sydney Cup and the Australian Oaks, it’s a day where stars are crowned and punters look to finish the carnival with a bang.
Luke Hovhanesian and Mick Gannon have done the form and found value across the program with their eyes on runners who map well, bring the right formlines, and represent genuine betting opportunities.

Mick continues to nail his best bets at a good rate!
Race 1 – Michelangelo $4.00
Impressed at his third career start and looks like he’ll relish every bit of the mile.
He was well-backed late in betting, before being held up at the 300m.
Still managed to clock the second-fastest last 600m and the fastest final 100m of the race against some smart types.
Draws well for a soft run in transit and with even luck, he’ll be right in the finish.

Race 4 – Inkaruna $5.00
Set for this race while many rivals have already had their grand finals.
Second-up she chased home Tempted and Marhoona, both of whom franked that form in the Golden Slipper.
On that occasion, Inkaruna lost her position at a key stage, the same spot taken by eventual winner Tempted.
With even luck, she arguably wins that race and would be closer to $2.00 in this.
Freshened with a tick-over trial and ready to peak.
Best of the day.
Luke is the #1 media tipster over last 180 days
Race 6 – Belle Detelle $9.00
Star performance last start when closing strongly over the 2000m in the Adrian Knox Stakes.
Now steps up to Group 1 company in the Australian Oaks, but has shown no signs she can’t handle it.
The rise in distance, quick back-up, and favourable barrier all suit.
If Treasurethe Moment has gone over the top, Belle Detelle can cause the upset at a big price.
Race 9 – Grinzinger Belle $15.00
Genuine blowout hope at big odds in a race that lacks tempo.
Will likely roll forward and string the field out, getting regular rider Declan Bates back aboard.
Draws well and maps to lead with minimal pressure.
If he gets it soft in front, he could give them something to chase from a long way out.
