David Gately is back with his best bets for Saturday’s metro meetings at Randwick and Bendigo.
With both tracks rated in the Good range, punters should get every chance to find their winners, though a watch on the weather in Sydney is advised with a few showers possible.
The rail is out 3m at Randwick after racing True last week, while Bendigo returns to the True position with no notable pattern expected after fair racing last time out with the rail out 9m.

BENDIGO – Race 10 No.12 – PIVOT CITY
Returned gelded and was super first-up, weaving through traffic to score impressively.
Then ran on strongly from back and wide against the pattern at Moonee Valley – a clear forgive.
Draws better here (barrier 1), can settle closer in the run and looks ideally suited stepping to 1300m.
The one to beat.
RANDWICK – Race 9 No.1 – FANGIRL
Was enormous last start when wide and against the bias, yet still charged late and just missed.
That followed a superb run behind Via Sistina where she made the G1 winner really earn it.
Back to mares grade, maps for a much better run, and has a class edge.
Hard to tip against.
