After a tough result last Saturday, I’m aiming to bounce back this weekend with two strong bets at Caulfield that offer value at over $3 and come with plenty of confidence.
While the Caulfield Cup presents some great betting opportunities, many other races on the card feature well-fancied runners likely to be hard to beat.
Here are my top two picks.

Cody Lane continues to find value amongst his best bets.
I was very impressed by Too Darn Discreet's performance last start in the Group 2 Edward Manifold Stakes over 1600m.
The Too Darn Hot filly powered through the wet conditions to claim a dominant victory, coming from just worse than midfield and finishing strongly.
The step up to 2000m looks ideal based on how she hit the line over the mile, and she faces a similar level of opposition here as she did at Flemington.
Drawn perfectly, she’ll get another wet track, which suits her, and should prove too classy for this field once again.
Pinstriped had genuine excuses in the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes, where he struggled on the Heavy 9 track and was later found to be lame.
Before that, he was outstanding in the Group 1 Memsie Stakes, where he defeated Mr Brightside at this track and distance.
Since that win, Mr Brightside has gone on to prove himself a top-level performer, and Pinstriped doesn’t face anyone of that caliber here.
His main rival, Gentleman Roy, was beaten by 2.7 lengths in the Memsie.
Despite a 1kg weight swing in Gentleman Roy's favour, it’s unlikely to change the result.
The track should be a Soft surface by the time the last race rolls around, which will suit Pinstriped much better than a Heavy track.
With a perfect run in transit, he’ll be very hard to beat.
