Doomben Race 7 Tip #8 Getyourgreyon $2.30
It was a hard watch for favourite punters last run at Doomben, as this son of Bel Esprit was forced to work four wide for the entire trip.
He finished fourth in what was a terrific effort, considering he finished just under a length from the winner.
At the start prior, he powered away late to win comfortably at the Gold Coast and connections have decided to revert back to that winning jockey Jag Guthmann-Chester for this run.
The Michael Costa trained gelding drops slightly in grade here and although this is his first go at the 1600m distance, all signs point to him lapping it up.
Expect him to settle just off the pace and then click through the gears in the straight, before proving too good for them.

Belmont Race 4 Tip #2 Lonsdale Lady $4.60
The Vale Delicacy Handicap features two very progressive mares, in what looks a race in two on paper.
Lonsdale Lady and Leading Girl clashed last start, when the former came up trumps by a narrow margin of 0.4 lengths.
Lonsdale Lady was coming off throat surgery first-up and should take plenty of improvement racing second-up here, which offsets the minor weight swing in Leading Girl's favour.
The speed in the race will be good. From barrier 1, Lonsdale Lady can choose to lead or take a sit one back on the fence, whilst her rival will be towards the rear giving up a head start.
Look for this mare to be too strong over the concluding stages, in what is a cracking clash between two horses who will play a big part in the Perth Carnival.

Kilmore Race 3 Tip #8 Jocat $2.70
I thought it was a brave effort to run fourth last start at Cranbourne.
She began well in that clash but was then restrained in an attempt to find cover, before being planted three wide with no cover for the trip.
She still stuck on well and was only beaten 1.5 lengths by one that looks to have above average ability.
Should be in the finish in a weak maiden here.
