Horse Racing Tips for Sandown 14/6/25

Saturday racing in Melbourne returns to the spacious Sandown Hillside circuit.

A Good to Soft surface is expected, and the long straight will give every horse its chance.

It’s a meeting that features several progressive types stepping through the grades.

Respected analyst Michael Manley has zoned in on one galloper who looks well placed to keep his winning run going.

Roadcone is a horse clearly on the rise and looks poised to make it three straight wins this campaign.

He’s dominated from the front in his past two starts.

Firstly, winning by 4.5 lengths at Pakenham over 1400m, then backing that up with another strong on-pace win at Sandown Hillside over 1600m.

Returns to the same track and trip, and again retains Logan Bates, claiming 3kg.

This brings his weight down to 56.5kg, despite a rise in class from BM84 to BM78.

He’s proven at this circuit, maps to control the race once more, and looks capable of going through the grades again.

Expect him to dominate from the front and prove hard to catch.
