Horse racing tips going off
Mick and Damian have put together a huge episode in the lead-up to The Everest and Caulfield Cup to run at Randwick and Caulfield this coming Saturday.
Mick reminds punters why it's a better time than ever to subscribe to thegreattipoff.com Youtube channel with Mick's review of All-In markets for the Cox Plate, Derby Day, Melbourne Cup, Oaks Day and Stakes Day over coming weeks. Already this Spring Mick and Dean have bagged a nice set of winners for punters at good prices.
In time for Saturday's big races at Randwick and Caulfield Mick and Damian present the Top 5 media tipsters at each track.
Damo reminds punters that statistics don't lie and that they usually reflect a punter's ability at a race track. Just like their home ground in footy.
The Top 5 at Randwick includes some familiar names and some new ones are in the mix, While Caulfield includes some racing legends like Tony Brassel, Ray Thomas and Gary Harley.
David 'Gator' Gately talks to Damo about combining horse ratings with race day factors, which can stop the best horse from winning, to arrive at his ratings.
Gator gives punters an early spoiler alert declaring his Caulfield Cup tip, even before the barrier draw came out.
The segment finishes with Gator giving punters an insight into his dressing habits and what he might wear on Melbourne Cup Day.
Weight will stop a train. Well so they say. But will it? Does it?
Mick Gannon discusses how he factors in weight when assessing horses and we ask punters to have their say too.
Mick's best tip at Randwick tomorrow is given. Always good to jump on early before the price gets crunched.
Australian horse racing tips going boom
After a brief chat about Australia's new star horsye Incentivise, the boys kick off a big show. Highlights include a conversation with SKY Racing's Ron Dufficy, a look at the top tipsters in September, and an interesting how do you punt on track bias.
Of course, don't forget Michael's best horse racing tip of the week in Mick's Moral.
The punters came out on top in September, with VacantLot leading the way with a thumpiing 245% POT from his horse racing tips. Pro punters Kudukiat, Clueless, Haystack5 and Josh Shields all featured in the top five.
Looking at the best media horse racing tipsters for September and race caller Mitch Manners headed the pack with a 109% POT. Other star performers included Chris Blackwell from OzRace, RSN's Adam Crettenden, Chris Nelson from Best Bets and Ron Dufficy from SKY Racing.
Speaking of Ron Dufficy, Damian caught up with the leading Sydney form judge to pick his brain about the method behind his tipping.
Duff talks punters through his form analysis, and the process that goes into his horse racing tips each week. He speaks about racing patterns, speed maps and races where bias have had an impact.
Dufficy also mentions how his background as a jockey gives him an advantage when doing the form.
Finally, Duff gives punters a good steer for horses running on Saturday that are coming off runs on a biased track.
Michael talks punters through how punters can take advantage of identifying the track bias. He states that assessing early races for bias, looking for horses and jockeys to suit an obvious on-pace bias, and adapting and betting accordingly are all important things to do as a punter.
Do you agree? Have your say below.
Michael's best horse racing tip on Saturday comes up in Race 4 at Randwick. If it dodges the Caulfield Guineas, Mick is keen on Coastwatch.
Horse racing tips on fire
For our fifteenth episode we start by looking at the tipsters who are flying in Sydney and Melbourne metro racing. With a cracking program of spring racing lined up for Saturday, punters won't want to miss that.
Our tipster in focus is Racenet's rising form analyst Jett Hatton, who gives punters some good tips for the Group Ones in Sydney.
There's an interesting How do you punt? on bookies' big bets, followed as always by Michael's best horse racing tip in Mick's Moral.
Kicking of with Sydney metro and SKY Racing's Brad Davidson is out in front with a 63% POT from his racing tips over the past 180 days. Other media experts that are flying included Cameron Mee from the Sydney Morning Herald and Mick Wallace from SKY Racing.
The top punter is Mark252525 with a 58% POT.
Onto the Victorian metro leaderboard and Mitchell Hamilton from the Telegraph is leading the pack with a 23% POT. The Sultan and Hugh Fitzpatrick have also posted impressive POTs.
Mark252525 is also on top for the punters in Victoria, with his horse racing tips driving a fat 120% POT.
Rising star Jett Hatton from Racenet is our tipster in focus this week. With a 39% POT over the past 30 days Hatton is flying, tipping winners all over the country.
He speaks on his process when tipping horses at different levels of racing, and how he often likes searching for a bit of value.
Jett likes Riodini in the Epsom, citing that he brings the superior form and drops significantly in weight.
Mick outlines his reasons why he wouldn't follow the bookies' big bets.
Damian gives punters the logic behind bookies handing out their big bets. He runs the numbers for September, to see which bookies made punters a profit if they followed these big bets.
Michael's best horse racing tip of the week comes up in the Group 1 Flight Stakes at Randwick. He likes Von Trapp at a price, believing that it's crying out for the mile.
Horse racing tips from winning punters
Another cracking episode of Tipster, that features a one-on-one with Australia's most in-form racing analyst Mick Wallace.
Elsewhere Michael and Damian take us through the best tipsters of the week, and open up a discussion on the importance of speed maps.
As always, we finish up with Michael's best horse racing tip in Mick's Moral. There's plenty of value in this one.
Mark Porcheddu is top of the pops with a thumping 357% POT from his horse racing tips. Fellow punters Josh Shields and Bargearsehanso have also been flying over the past 7 days. Amy Evans and Mitch Lucas rounded out the top 5 for the Twitter punters.
Moving onto the media experts and SKY Racing's Mick Wallace is well out in front.
Others who fired with their horse racing tips were Greg Spletter from Super Racing, Shayne Montgomery from RSN, the TAB's Ian Humphreys and none other than The Sultan.
One of NSW's most popular form analysts Mick Wallace caught up with Michael to talk about his recent success on the punt.
Mick speaks about his ability to find horses that are overlooked by the market, but states that it's just about tipping winners at the end of the day. He talks to his passion for getting stuck into the form, and the use of Crowcaster.com when placing his tips on Twitter.
Trusting your eye and becoming familiar with a particular area of racing are Mick's tips for any budding horse racing analysts out there.
Michael takes us through his thoughts on speed maps, arguing that they are a very important piece of the punting puzzle. He points to the track bias at Randwick last Saturday where horses that mapped on the rail were advantaged.
Speed maps are even more important in lower classes of racing for Michael, who likes finding on-pacers at country meets.
With factors like wind, rain, track bias and rail position all playing their part, taking notice of speed maps is essential before placing your horse racing tips.
We're back at Rosehill on Saturday, where Mick heads to Race 6 for his best bet of the week.
All Saint's Eve goes on top at a juicy price, with Mick thinking she'll find her preferred set-up and be too good.
Horse racing tips running hot
A huge episode of Tipster, featuring a one-on-one with Adrian Bott and a discussion around futures betting - is it worth it?
But first up is a look at which media stables are running hot, and as always stick around for Michael's best horse racing tip of the week in Mick's Moral.
We took a glance at which media stables have been firing over the past 30 days with their horse racing tips.
Kicking off with SKY Racing, and four tipsters are in elite form: Brad Davidson, Mick Wallace, Priscilla Looker and Chynna Marston. Flicking over to the Racing.com stable and caller Rick McIntosh and form judge Trav Noonan have been flying.
Other strong performers were Chris Nelson from Best Bets, Greg Spletter from Super Racing and Howard Clement from Winning Post.
Lastly we had a quick look at our own stable. Cody Lane, Rick Morris and Michael Gannon are all faring well.
Leading trainer Adrian Bott spoke to Mike, giving punters plenty of good tips for upcoming races.
First up Adrian tells us what it's like working alongside racing icon Gai Waterhouse. That's before he talks us through a normal day in his life as a trainer, from his 3am start to clock-off time at 6pm.
Bott then speaks about his horses running in the two feature races at Newcastle on Friday, as well as his leading chances at Randwick on Saturday.
Lastly Bott spills the beans on his best horse racing tip for the Spring Carnival.
We open the discussion on futures betting, and whether it's worth it.
Michael's opinion is that it's a tricky business if you're not sure where the horse will be lining up. But it can be profitable, with factors like jockey booking and weather conditions playing a big part.
She's Ideal in Race 9 at Randwick is Mick's top horse racing tip. It's well-weighted, and ready to deliver a career peak.
Australian horse racing tips
Spring is in the air and the boys are up and about for a big episode of Tipster.
Highlights include a chat with Nick Quinn from the TAB and Herald Sun, whose Flemington horse racing tips have been on fire. Also a deep dive into the best Australian horse racing tipsters from August, and a new segment called - How Do You Punt?
The top end of the Australian horse racing leaderboard was dominated by pro punters and WA tipsters. With a bumper 319% POT Latham Anderson came out on top. He targets WA country races, watching trials, and finding an edge in the market.
Chris Blackwell from OzRace was the leading media tipster of the month. Other media judges who performed well with their tips include Winning Post's Tony Rickards, Glenn McFarlane from The Herald Sun, and RSN race caller Rick McIntosh.
After Michael got a hold of $45 pop Soldier Of Love in the last at Randwick on Saturday, we let him talk us through the reasoning behind this tip.
Mick had an eye on the weather, and was looking for an on-pace wet-tracker. He also knew that the horse peaked second up with Rachel King on board, and marked the horse as a $6 chance.
The most famous head of hair in racing Nick Quinn was our tipster in focus. With a cracking record at Flemington he's a tipster you want to be following throughout the Spring Carnival at headquarters.
Nick likes betting at Flemington due to the big open fields where you can get a good price for a good horse.
He also takes us through his form analysis, where he keeps notes on horses, speaks to connections, and tries to identify which horses are ready to win on the day.
Quinny also gives punters a push for certain horses in futures markets in some of the Spring Carnival features. Check out the video for more.
Today's topic in this new segment is winter form vs spring first starters.
Mick points out that you've got to take plenty of factors into account before taking the fit winter horse or the classy spring horse.
Damian speaks to the key consideration of looking at a horse's racing pattern, and where they tend to peak in their racing campaigns.
Mick's best bet on Saturday comes up in Race 3 at Kembla.
Not only has Cognac been slowly improving with each run, but he gets a good run on the map, takes a claim with JVO riding, and will give big sight in the lead.

With a 7% POT from his horse racing tips over the past 365 days, Michael caught up with popular Twitter tipster The Sultan of Sydney. "Sults" speaks to the importance of accountability, and how providing his tips to a large audience has sharpened his skills as a form analyst and punter. He also talks to the time and hard work that goes into form analysis. That's before a light-hearted end in "sixty seconds with Sults."
In this new tipping competition, punters need to pick one horse in each of the Caulfield quaddie legs on Saturday. Best result wins a William Pike hoodie and Jamie Kah t-shirt, courtesy of Punters Wardrobe.

Michael takes us through the top five tipsters to watch through the Spring Carnival.
Dean Watling is Mick's fifth tipster to follow, especially for his Sydney horse racing tips. Josh Reed is next up, coming off a 9% POT last spring. Kobie O'Brien is next cab off the rank. With a massive tipping output, Kobie will always have horse racing tips for punters to bet on.
Michael's second best tipster to follow for the Spring Carnival is Deane Lester. Last spring Deane steered followers into an 8% POT. Damian speaks to Deane's talents, especially when it comes to creating his own speed maps, that are available as part of Deane's premium tip package at theGreatTipoff.com.
Michael's main tipster to follow through the Spring Carnival is none other than the Sultan of Sydney.
Mick's Moral comes up in Race 3 at Kembla Grange on Saturday. He fancies the Godolphin runner Ziegfeld, who looks the superior horse on the dry track.
Horse racing tips making punters money
Tipster is back! Michael and Damian reveal which punters and media experts have made the most from their horse racing tips in June, as well as who's heading the pack in the race for tipster of the year 2021.
Damian catches up with RSN race caller Brendan Delaney who tipped the card at Ballarat earlier in the month. Then we introduce a new concept of "followability," before Michael gives his best Saturday racing tip in Mick's Moral.
All that and more in the latest episode of Tipster.
Cody Lane topped the media charts for horse racing tipsters in June, with a whopping 133% POT. Watch to learn how the Sydney specialist from SEN picks his winners and uses track bias to find his tips.
Second on the list was Chris Blackwell from OzRace, while Tony Rickards made another appearance for Winning Post. SA analysts Brett Davis for SKY Racing and James Jordan for Racing.com rounded out the top five.
The two punters who made a splash in June were South Aussie Isatheo and pro punter from Queensland Cyberyang.
Watch to learn who gets the chocolates in June with the winning group making in excess of $27k in cash profit with their racing tips.
Brendan Delaney is a talented race caller calling races across all three codes. We caught up with Brendan who tipped the card at Ballarat earlier in the month.
Delaney mentions what goes into his picking horses to back, and in particular the time and effort it takes to tip at the highest level.
He also talks to the advantage of being a caller when it comes to tipping, in particular the memory of where horses like to be positioned in the run. Delaney also touches on how he goes about his tipping when it comes to greyhound and harness racing.
In this new segment we look at how to learn how followable a tipster is. Damian and Mike look at a few media tipsters and pro punters and cuts the win rate data in a few ways to show who gives the shortest wait time between wins. We bring in a factor called winning days, which brings a new dimension in to determine which tipsters can be relied upon to consistently deliver the goods.
Brendan Delaney is in the box seat to be Tipster of the Year, after leading at the half-way mark with an incredible 73% POT.
Perth bookmaker Peter McCormack and Jamie Martin from The West Australian aren't far behind.
Punters have the edge over the media tipsters at the half-way point, with a formidable cash profit generated by their horse racing tips.
Joel Marshall from Best Bets is the Hero of the Week, after he went 8 from 9 at Eagle Farm last Saturday.
Mick's best bet for Saturday racing races in Flemington Race 4. Watch the close to find out who he is tipping.
Whose horse racing tips went bang in May
This week's episode takes a close look at tips placed in May and reveals the most profitable horse racing tipsters during the month.
The numbers are cut in a few different ways. Firstly the boys highlight the profit makers amongst the media experts for metropolitan tracks in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
This lot then take on their Top performing counter parts amongst the punter for each of these States.
Michael and Damian then put the three groups head-to-head and reveal which of them made the most coin in May: the Punters or the Media experts!
The boys then speak to veteran racing form analyst and commentator Chris Scholtz from Racing and Sports where punters learn a whole lot about the upcoming Eagle Farm meeting on Saturday and where to find key data and form tools on the site to help on the punt.
The show closes with the Hero of the Week that you will not want to miss. With footage to boot, the boys look at one of the recent performances of the world's most colourful race caller.
Of course, there's Mick's Moral to look out for before the show closes for another week.
The Top 5 tipsters ordered by profit on turnover are revealed. Interestingly only one media expert made the top five positions. Is this an omen for what is to come in the program?
The media standout was none other than SKY Racing's Brad Davidson.
Some interesting insights into Davo and the how the four punters on the list do their form and tip their winners.
Michael and Damian present the Top 5 performers for tips posted at metropolitan tracks in Victoria, Sydney and Brisbane. There's plenty of big names amongst them. Has this group of 15 tipsters done enough to claim a victory for the media experts in May? Or will the punters give them a lesson in tipping?
We compare the performances of the Top 5 punters at the corresponding metropolitan regions to see which group of racing tipsters did better in May. Who takes the bragging rights?
With over 50 year's experience in the racing industry, Chris Scholtz gives punters some great insights for betting at the two main metropolitan tracks in Brisbane. He goes on to provide sound advice on doing the form and some great data and tools to use on the Racing and Sports site.
Horse racing tips firing at Eagle Farm
With the huge meet at Eagle Farm on Saturday, we focus on Brisbane racing, and give punters an idea about who they should turn to for some quality Eagle Farm tips. We chat to Chris Nelson from Best Bets, who tells us what to look out for at the Farm.
Mick's Masterclass is back, where he once again highlights the value of Dutch betting and how to access our Dutching Calculator. Then we've got a new segment that provides some sound advice for punters looking to follow a media expert.
After that Michael and Damian reveal their racing heroes of the week, before we close with Mick's Moral.
Here we show punters the most profitable Eagle Farm tipsters over the past 180 days. GreatTipOff veteran Sandgroper is topping the charts, with a bumper 49% POT. Greg Spletter from Super Racing is just behind, followed by Howard Walter from Best Bets, Stephen Rodgers from Telegraph Racing, and Chris Nelson, who also tips for Best Bets.
Speaking of Chris Nelson, we catch up with him here, to find out some of his tipping methods and insights.
He gives punters some good words of advice for betting at Eagle Farm, in particular the importance of not focusing too much on track bias. He then provides an insight into his form analysis, and the importance he places on video replays. Nelson then gives us his Eagle Farm tips for the Queensland Derby.
After he delivered the goods with his Dutch betting tips last week, Michael is back to give punters a second lesson on our Dutching calculator. We used Chris Nelson's Queensland Derby tips to demonstrate how easy it is to use the Dutching calculator.
This new segment gives punters some advice on what to look out for and what to expect when following the horse racing tips of a media expert.
Both Michael and Damian reveal their star performers in the world of racing over the past seven days.
April Rain in Randwick Race 7 is Michael's best horse racing tip for the week.
Horse racing tips to follow
Plenty of new content in this episode, starting with Tipster Form Guide where we steer punters into some free horse racing tips at the three main tracks on Saturday.
Then we catch up with professional form analyst and punter Mark Hunter to hear all about how he incorporates staking into his horse racing tips. That's before Mick's Masterclass, where Michael takes us through Dutch betting, before he ends the episode with his best bet for Saturday racing tip in Mick's Moral.
Kicking off with Rosehill, we take a glance at the best horse racing tipsters at the track over the past 180 days.
Pro punter Nugget28 is leading the way, just getting the better of Greg Spletter.
Glenn Munsie from the TAB bagged the bronze. SKY Racing's legend analyst Gary Harley and punter Jazwat60 round out the top five.
Speaking of Gaz, we take a quick look at some of his finest work, in the days where he worked as a rugby league commentator.
Doomben is the next track in focus, as we try to find some quality Doomben race tips. The 180-day leaderboard for actual stake has punter Paul Allen on top with a thumping 290% POT.
Adam Williams from Best Bets is coming off a hot week, and up-and-coming analyst Taylor Roberts is also firing at Doomben. Finishing up with Flemington and we look at the best horse racing tipsters at headquarters over the past 180 days.
Winning Post's Tony Rickards is at the summit, followed by pro punter Intrepidarts and the Telly's Ray Thomas.
We catch up with pro punter and former Aussie Rules star Mark Hunter, whose pro horse racing tips can be accessed through the site. We pick his brain about what goes into his staking plan, and why he chooses to leave some races alone. Hunter then delves deeper into his staking plan, and tells us the reasoning behind suggesting a higher stake for some horses as opposed to others.
