Tamworth kicks off a cracking week of racing in NSW, with seven races set for decision over the course of the afternoon. 

The track is currently rated a Good 4 and nothing but sunshine is forecast for the country music capital of Australia.

The rail is in the true position and there is typically favours to on-pace runners at Tamworth.

The horse I want to mention from the pre-steward's report is Capitulate, who runs around in race 4.

The Star Witness gelding began awkwardly last start at this track and when the pace slackened, he found himself further back than intended.

Once into clear air, the gelding ran some slick sectionals but faded on the run with 100m to go.

Providing Belinda Hodder can find cover in the front half of the field, punters should expect an improved run.

Tamworth Race 2 Tip #3 Hurn Court $2.70

The Outreach gelding looks to go one better than he did here a fortnight ago.

He began well last start, finding a nice spot in the run. However, he just couldn't make ground on the eventual winner until late in the piece, when he charged home strong.

The step-up to the 1200m for this assignment is ideal and with regular jockey Grant Buckley aboard, expect him to be ridden positively from the wide draw.

From barrier 14, look for Buckley to find a nice spot in the front half of the field before flying over the top late.
