Best plays for Monday racing in Victoria
We're off to the Victorian Central Highlands to kick off the week, as Ballarat hosts a competitive 8-race card on the synthetic surface.
The rail is in the true position, with fine weather forecast for the popular gold mining town.
Michael nailed his best bet at Ballarat last Tuesday, after Classy Pins saluted paying $2.70!
He's identified 4-races today that represent good betting opportunities.

Universal Lady in Race 4 was caught three wide last start and with even luck today, she can break her maiden.
After jumping From barrier 8 in that hit-out, she raced without cover over the Caulfield 1200m only to go down by 2.4-lengths behind the Team Hawkes trained Diala.
That horse went on to win again, before running fourth in a Group 3 at Morphettville.
She comes from decent enough form lines to be competitive here and if Jye McNeil can find cover in the run, she should prove too strong for these.

Holland has had 57 rides here over the past year, recording 6 wins and 12 placings.
The hoop has 6-rides today, with his best chance coming in race 1 on Storm's Colours.

This Written Tycoon mare saves her best for this track and distance.
She was very strong when stepping up in grade last start, finding the talented Honorable Mention a tad too good.
That horse has since franked that form with a strong third placing in BM74 grade at her last start.
Hejami's run into second was full of merit, with the gap back to third a widening 4.5 lengths.
Drawn barrier 5 today, she can go forward to sit outside the leader or one pair back with cover. From there, look for her to peel off them and sprint away.
She relishes this set-up and looks to have more upside than her rivals.
The $3.80 quote represents value and makes her the best bet of the day!
