Horse Racing tipster of the week

It was a good week to be backing the media tipsters, after a number of them steered their followers into a handy profit.

In fact, 3 of the top 10 horse racing tipsters over the past 7 days were some of the most respected names in the industry.

Having said that, the punters were far from disgraced, with plenty of their mob also having a good time of it.

And it's a punter who we'll kick off proceedings with, after TheDevilsAdvocate delivered.

This pro punter from the Sunshine State saw 24 of his selections greet the judge at a whopping average price of $10.84.

This translated into almost four grand of cash profit, for everyone who followed TheDevilsAdvocate's tips with $100 bets.

And for punters out there looking for someone who knows their international racing, TheDevilsAdvocate might be your man.

His winners came at tracks in New Zealand, South Africa, the UK and Ireland, as well as a handful of local tracks.

This pro punter clearly knows his horses.

Resident tipster Jordan King also got in on the act, after 8 of his tips booted home to deliver punters $2,410 profit from $100 win bets.

It was at last Wednesday's Sandown meeting where he did his damage, after he picked 4 winners including two double figure pops.  

Onto the media experts now, and the first to make a splash was none other than Ray Thomas from the Daily Telegraph.

The long-time racing editor for the Telly is in a rich vein of form at the moment, having found a profit for three straight weeks.

Looking at this week's effort, and Thomas tipped 30 winners at a handsome average price of $4.80.

If you factor in his best bets and look at the actual stake leaderboard, Thomas ended up with almost $3K in cash profit.

And with winners at multiple tracks across NSW, as well as Caulfield, Thomas's tipping output is extraordinary.

This makes his profit even more impressive.

Next up is another senior figure in horse racing journalism, Warren Huntly.  

The form analyst and commentator has long been immersed in the world of racing, and has even turned his hand to jockey management over the years.

But it was his tips that were all the rage this week.

Huntly tipped 13 winners at a ripping strike rate of 37%, producing two grand in cash profit.

But like Thomas, Huntly really delivered with his best bets, bagging no less than 5 of them.

This is reflected in the actual stake leaderboard, where Huntly clocked off with a bumper cash profit of $2,480.

Paul Kelly from the Winning Post also did more than enough to earn a shout out.

He cleaned up at last Saturday's Belmont meet, bagging 4 winners including 30/1 shot Flow in Race 7.

It takes a bit of courage for media experts to stick their neck out and tip a roughie, because most of the time it doesn't pan out.

But that certainly wasn't the case here, with Kelly's tips generating $2K in cash profit at a whopping 116% POT.

Stellar stuff.

Harness and Greyhound tipster of the week

Starting with the trotters, and punter MichaelMigliore had a week to remember.

He tipped 4 winners at a juicy average price to finish up with a big 131% POT and a cash profit of $1,180.

This Victorian only joined the site a few weeks ago, but since then has been tipping nothing but winners.

He's started off with 3 consecutive profitable weeks, and will now be looking to make it four.

Good luck to him. 

Onto the greyhound tipsters, and it was Bathurst race caller Ron Knight who really impressed us.

He tipped 7 of the 11 winners at Monday's meet, including 10/1 shot Khatanga Port in Race 3.

This meant that Knight finished up with a fat 128% POT, and more than a grand in cash profit.

But it has been Knight's sustained form that has really stood out.

The New South Welshman in now sitting on a 4 month tipping streak.
