Punters & media experts share spoils
Both the punters and media experts put in strong performances in May.
A representative from each group took out top spot in the highest profit and highest Profit on Turnover (POT) categories respectively.
Read on as we shine a light on May's top performers, and the tipsters to follow heading into the winter racing season.
Best Horse Racing Tipster: Highest Cash Profit
MichaelMorrice was May's top profit-maker thanks to 61 winning tips at a juicy average price of $6.83.
This resulted in a whopping $9,740 in cash profit from $100 win bets.
But even more impressive is the fact that MichaelMorrice has now notched up six straight profitable tipping weeks.
He'll be looking to carry this form into June.
An enviable tipping streak
Securing the silver for most profit was popular Queensland punter Beautifulfart.
He rounded out the month with $7,195 in cash profit from $100 win bets, thanks to the value he was able to sink his teeth into.
Beautifulfart finished the month with not one but two $100+ winners, the second of which he snuck in on the last day of the month.
That was Treasure Of Gold, which got home at massive $127.50 odds at Toowoomba.
Beautifulfart reels in a whale on the final day of the month
With a happy knack of tipping rank outsiders, it's no surprise Beautifulfart is such a fan favourite.
Rounding out the podium was Perth punter Claresy1977.
This was thanks to his huge haul of $6,300.
Claresy1977 owes his success to the sheer volume of winners he was able to boot home.
He had 91 winning tips in all, at a very respectable average price of $6.27.
With a four-week tipping streak on top of this, Claresy's consistency will appeal to plenty of punters.
Best Horse Racing Tipster: Highest POT
Grabbing the gold for highest POT was none other than Stephen Moran from the TAB.
The Melbourne form expert and commentator cleaned up at the Sandown meet on May 2.
He snared four winners at a fat average price, setting himself up for a stellar month.

Moran finished up with a 130% POT for the whole of May, shooting away at the top of the leaderboard.
Second but far from disgraced with a bumper 88% POT was pro punter Garythompson.
This Sydneysider owes his May success to a phenomenal strike rate of 50%.
When 13 of your 26 tips greet the judge and at an average price of $3.77 to boot, it's no wonder that a big POT was the outcome.
Garythompson is certainly one to watch out for in June.
The bronze in the POT category went to Scottymac124.
Hailing from WA, this punter was on song at Belmont towards the back half of May.
In fact, 4 of his 8 winners in May came at Perth's winter track.
This helped deliver an impressive 66% POT.
With plenty more Belmont racing to come this winter, Scottymac124 could be a good tip source out west.
Earning an honourable mention with a 59% POT in May is pro punter KurtBurns.
Hailing from a lakeside suburb of Wagga, Burns is a NSW country form expert.
One of our racing writers at theGreatTipOff.com, Burns tends to focus on his local Wagga racecourse, as well as other country tracks in southern NSW.
And with each of his past 3 tipping days all resulting in a profit, Burns is in some cracking form heading into July.

Best Media Experts by POT
Media Outlet | Tipster | Winning Tips | POT |
Terry Spargo | 17 | 55% | |
Adam Sherry | 41 | 43% | |
Dylan Bairstow | 7 | 41% | |
Nathan Exelby | 12 | 40% |
An interesting pattern emerged in the next best media experts by POT.
We saw two race callers from SKY Racing, as well as two form analysts from Telegraph Racing.
Both outlets had a mighty month, but let's start with the SKY Racing tipsters.
Gold Coast caller Terry Spargo steered listeners into winner after winner at his local track.
He found 17 in all, at an incredible strike rate just a shade under 50%.
You really can't go past Spargo if you're in the market for some Gold Coast tips.
The second SKY tipster to fare well was the voice of Alice Springs racing, Dylan Bairstow.
This up-and-coming caller is clearly a dab hand tipping the horses as well.
Not only did he deliver a solid POT, but he's also sitting on a 5-day tipping streak at Alice Springs.

Onto the Telly now, and two of their form experts showed how it's done.
NSW analyst Adam Sherry led the way with a whopping 41 winners.
These came at the major Sydney metro racecourses, as well as provincial and country tracks.
To be able to tip winners across multiple tracks and levels of racing is a good sign in a form analyst.
Queenslander Nathan Exelby was the other star performer from the Telly racing stable.
The key to Exelby's thumping POT was the value he was able to find at Doomben and Eagle Farm.
With some quality racing scheduled for Eagle Farm on Stradbroke Handicap day, punter will be in safe hands backing Exelby's free horse racing tips.
