Best bets at Tamworth
Horse racing in northern NSW heads back to Tamworth on Tuesday, with a nice seven race card in front of us.
The track is currently rated a Heavy 10, with mostly fine but cold weather forecast for the country music town.
The rail is in the 2m position, which should give every runner their chance.

From the stewards
The Borough who lines up in race 3, is the horse worth mentioning in the pre-steward's report.
Last start at Cessnock, the Pierro gelding over raced in the early stages before being restrained to obtain cover.
Upon entering the straight, he was bumped heavily which stifled his momentum on the tight track.
He picked up well but was unable to run down the winner, finishing 1.3 lengths second.
For this assignment, he drops from a Class 1 back to maiden grade and should be well suited over the rain affected 1600m.
Jockey to follow
Jeff Penza has the best stats of those who are riding at Tamworth today.
Penza has had 28 rides here in the past 12 months, winning 7 at a strike rate of 25%. It's worth mentioning that he also has a 50% place strike rate also.
Penza is booked for 6 rides, with best chance coming in Race 2 on Roman Candle.
I've identified 4-races on today's card that represent good betting opportunities. Below is my best bet on the card and my quaddie numbers.

Tamworth Race 1 Tip #11 Married To The Mob $2.15
The Foxwedge gelding faces the weakest opposition of his career here, which will go a long way to ensuring victory.
Last start at Scone, he ran into some talented gallopers including Lost in Running, Danebrook and Daltero. All of those horses has since come out and won.
Last preparation he ran into Rothfire first-up, before lining up in the Gold Nugget at the Gold Coast behind Wisdom of Water, Conceited and The Drinks Cart.
He has drawn well in barrier 4 for this clash, which should ensure a soft run throughout.
Considering his main rival has drawn wide, he should be able to preserve energy for the straight and being out of Foxwedge, the heavy going shouldn't be an issue.
From the draw, expect Gibbons to sit just behind the leader and be in the prime position to attack in the straight.
With the strong form-lines behind him, a repeat of his last start run should see him prove too good for these at an attractive price.
I have this gelding marked a $1.70 chance so he's worth a crack at the $2.15.
