Saturday Racing Best Bets at Rosehill & Caulfield 31st March 2018

The Rosehill track should help the on-pacers early in the day, but once the track drys out properly it should be more of an even playing field. At Caulfield, i'm expecting favours to be afforded to the on-pace runners throughout the day, whilst inside barriers will be favourable in the longer distance races,

Rosehill

Race 3 #4 Burning Passion

Was awesome first-up behind two cracking horses and his second-up record is four starts for two wins and two seconds. He gets the perfect rails draw here and looks like he will be in this for a very long way. $7.50

Race 9 #5 Osborne Bulls

Had no luck last start after he was stuck in a pocket for the majority of the trip. It was horrible to watch and when he finally got clear, he flew home for third- a total forgive run. He draws well here and Avdulla will be out to make amends. Should go very close. $3

Caulfield

Race 6 #8 Top of the Range 

Was very good at Flemington two weeks ago where he was held up twice, checked at the 200m mark and still only lost by 0.1L. He's hard fit now fourth-up and will appreciate the extra journey here carrying 3.5kgs less. Hard to beat. $3.50

Race 8 #6 Theanswermyfriend

Was so good first-up when he just got bobbed on the line. He returns to the same distance again here, draws better than last start and has great second-up stats (3:1-2-0). With only one finish from seven starts outside the top two over the trip, he has to be on top. $4.20
