Race caller from Tassy tips ten
Tasmanian race caller Colin McNiff gets the Tipster of the Week award for the media - hands-down. The man on the mike from the Apple Isle managed to give punters much more than an accurate call across two codes of racing this week. He tipped no less than four winners at Launceston gallops on Wednesday making his followers more than double their money, and then backed up the next day to call the Hobart greyhounds, tipping the first three winners on the program, before finding three more to bag a six winner haul.
The winning double over two consecutive days highlights the strong local knowledge that McNiff has developed across all codes of racing in Tasmania over his thirty-five years in the industry and particularly the past four years when he has kept up a rigorous calling schedule across Tasmania.

Punter's efforts over the past seven days were headlined by Victorian punter Capposki. Tipping 8 winners at average odds of $7.59, punters following his selections with $100 win bets over the week finished a cool $2,500 in front. The punter who resides in one of the most picturesque parts of Victoria, notched up five profitable days from his last six, and it was only last October when he was crowned a Top 3 profit maker for the month.
Capposki's profitable days over the past week included Golden Slipper Day last Saturday where he tipped the winner of the Group 1 Galaxy, In Her Time. On Friday his winners included the William Reid Stakes champion, Hellbent, paying a very tasty $10.
