The Ascot Carnival picks-up momentum as we draw closer to Group 1 racing in Perth next Saturday, for Railway Stakes Day.
Perth is expecting a heat wave on Friday through to Saturday, with temperatures expected to reach as high as 35 degrees on race day. The track is currently rated a Good 4 and the rail is out 10 metres the entire course.
Justin's tips have yielded 4% POT over the past 365 days.
Below are his three best bets for Saturday's Ascot meet, however you can get access to all of his selections in his tipping package here.

Race 3 1400m (BM72+)
The speed here is expected to be good. Look for Avidus to find the front, whilst Superior Smile and Geiger Gem search for a forward spot from their wide draws.
I have Lorentinio (5) on top. I’m not sure what Jim Taylor has done to this horse, but he deserves a lot of credit for the way it is currently racing. He seems better suited to taking a sit at this point of his career and from barrier 6, expect Jason Brown to lob a wonderful trailing spot behind the leading trio.
With the horse in career best form and the race likely to be run to suit, the price looks very enticing.
Royal Command (1) clearly has a lot of talent, but his racing pattern makes him a hard horse to follow. He maps to get 4 or 5 pairs back on the rails here and Pike will be riding for luck.
Sir Mambo (6) has put two in-a-row together after a string of placings and maps for a soft rails run behind the leader. However, he could be found wanting late over the 1400m.
Mankind (7) had an enormous win first-up and should appreciate the good tempo and rise to 1400m. Will be finishing fast late.
Race 3 Tips
1st Lorentinio
2nd Royal Command
3rd Sir Mambo
4th Mankind
Race 4 1400m Westspeed Platinum Series (4YO&Up, 0mw)
I expect the speed to be good here too. Lacevinsky should find the front, with Dickoletto, Position of Power and Rexford looking to sit handy.
Not To Be Mist (2) picks himself. Mathematically he was no chance to win first-up and then he couldn't get a run as a $1.70 pop on Cup Day.
He has a fair bit on these. Expect Pike to sit midfield with cover and take luck out of the equation by hooking out wide and using the horse's turn of foot to reel the field in.
One Point Lady (7) is a horse that has a fair amount of ability. She can position prominently in the run and goes around at a big price here.
Lacevinsky (9) should find the rails and be in front for a long way. He hasn't quite delivered on some of the early promise he showed.
Dickoletto (1) gets the benefit of the 3kg claime here and should settle in the first 4 in runnung. He appreciates chasing a good tempo and can figure second up.
Race 4 Tips
1st Not To Be Mist
2nd One Point Lady
3rd Lacevinsky
4th Dickoletto
Race 5 1500m R J Peters Stakes (Group 3)
Expect the pace to be on here, with Majinika giving them all something to chase. Bob Peters hasn't had much luck in winning the race named after him, could this be the year? I’m hoping not.
Platoon (7) has come back in great form this campaign and can match it with Regal Power over the 1500m. He was entitled to clock some good sectionals in a moderately run race last start. He drops 3kg here and should appreciate the faster tempo.
Regal Power (2) was great fresh behind Samizdat. He just peaked late to finish 1.5 lengths second on that occasion and is the class runner in the race. He and Platoon are likely to be next to each other in the running.
Off the good tempo, I expect the slight weight swing for Platoon to give him the edge.
Neurological (4) has had issues since a strong win in the Farnley.
Mississippi Delta (3) was a surprise choice for Pike here. I expect her to be out sprinted from last, but should be gearing towards a Perth Cup tilt.
Race 5 Tips
1st Platoon
2nd Regal Power
3rd Neurological
4th Mississippi Delta
Race 8 1100m Colonel Reeves Stakes (Group 3)
Solid speed is expected here. Misty Metal should control it, with Baraki Beats and Battle Hero holding prominent spots.
Misty Metal (5) was a step slow away last start and had to take a sit, which isn't her usual racing pattern. If Turner can get her to jump cleanly here, she should be able to lead, control and kick away coming into to the turn. If that happens she will be very hard to catch.
Flirtini (6) was given a dream run in the Prince Of Wales and won accordingly. This time however, it looks like she’ll have to race wide or drag back to give Misty Metal a big speed map advantage. However, she has shown that she has a turn of foot which can see her winning here again.
Stageman (9) is racing in great form in the summer features and deserves another win.
Valour Road (1) needed the run first-up and although he draws poorly, he has a touch of class.
Race 8 Tips
1st Misty Metal
2nd Flirtini
3rd Stageman
4th Valour Road
