Early Mail for Ballarat & Rosehill from Matt Buckland 25 Nov 2017

I’m expecting both the Rosehill and Ballarat surface to be fair this weekend. Sydney received light showers earlier in the week whilst Ballarat is forecast for up to 5mm of rain on Friday and Saturday.

Best Early Bets

Ballarat Race 3 #11 Cedar Grande - last run was a total forgive and I’m going on her run two back where she was great, working well to the line. I expect a bounce back into form. $5.50

Ballarat Race 5 #6 Captain Harry - brings the form-line of a narrow second behind Peaceful State who came out and ran impressively in the Group Two Sandown Guineas last week, franking that form. Can go very close here. $5

Best Roughies

Rosehill Race 4 #11 Picardy Rose - flashed home late at Rosehill two weeks ago after only getting clear with a couple of hundred meters to go. With McEvoy aboard and some luck in the running, she may surprise a few. $11

Rosehill Race 5 #4 Salesman - presents as a good value chance. He was great last time out at Goulburn just missing over 1200m. The extra journey could be right up his alley and dropping 4.5kg gives him a great chance. $15
