Excitement is in the air in Perth as racing returns to Ascot this Saturday.
The meeting will be headlined by the eighth race of the day, the three-year-old Classic run over the 1000m.
The track is currently rated a Good 4, but with 5-10mm of rain forecast to fall on Saturday there is a chance of a downgrade.
With the rail out 3m and being the start of the season, the track is likely to play fair.

Ascot Race 4 Tip #1 Bunker Buster $2.20
Bunker Buster has moved through the grades brilliantly this prep, stringing together three straight wins at Belmont.
On each occasion the gelding ran-on impressively from a rear position and will be ridden similarly here.
Despite jumping in grade, he drops 1kg and after Jade McNaught's claim he's only carrying 57kg.
Barrier six suits him and with even luck, he should be flying over the top to win once again.
Ascot Race 5 Tip #1 Creative Hero $6.50
Creative Hero resumes here after a superb debut campaign which saw the gelding win the Listed Challenge Stakes.
Trainer Adam Durrant has given him the one trial in preparation for this, where he wasn't asked to do much against some quality gallopers.
There's a slight query over how he'll handle the drop back to 1200m for the first time, but you can trust Adam Durrant knows how to place them.
Looks the one to beat.
Belmont Race 6 Tip #3 The Velvet King $4.00 (Best Bet)
Resumes from a spell and comes here following a nice trial win, where he was ridden conservatively before sprouting wings in the final 300m.
Mitch Pateman takes the reigns again and he knows how to get the best out of the gelding having steered him to four of his six career victories.
From the wide draw in gate 9, look for him to roll forward and sit on-speed.
He flies fresh (3:2-1-0) and is unbeaten at the 1400m, which indicates he'll be very hard to beat.
