Best bets for midweek racing
Caulfield Race 3 #4 Just Malcolm $3.40
This gelding is a handy horse who has been taught to settle in both his career starts to date, which has seen him vulnerable late on both occasions.
He would have learnt plenty from those outings and now at his third start, expect him to relax quicker before using that dynamic turn of foot to sprint over these.
From what I've seen, I have no idea how the bookies have opened I'm Thunderstruck the early favourite.
With even luck, Just Malcolm should just win!

Canberra Race 3 Tip #10 Reelclass $2.10
The bookies have marked this one a two-horse race, however I feel this Jean Dubois trained galloper is the clear standout!
She was very good on debut, hitting the line strongly over 1300m at Kembla Grange against the likes of Macleay and Black Bolt.
At her last start, she drew barrier 9 of 13 over the 1300m at Canberra and was forced to race back in the field.
She never looked a winning hope, however she savaged the line late. The winner of that clash, Always Sure, has since come out and won again, franking that form-line.
She'll be well suited stepping out to the 1400m and has finally drawn well in barrier 4.
From the good gate, she can sit more forward and I'm expecting her to prove hard to hold out.

Warwick Farm Race 2 Tip #3 Vanderland $2.40
This looks a lovely race for the Hawkes trained Vanderland to break his maiden.
The three-year-old son of Vancouver kicked off his campaign with an unlucky third in a strong maiden, which featured subsequent midweek winner Flexible and the progressive Fifteen Aria.
He was trapped three wide throughout in that clash, before balancing up and attacking the line in what was a very good return.
He gets here second-up from a spell and stays at Warwick Farm on an improving track, which he enjoys. The step up to 1400m looks ideal and top jockey Tommy Berry takes the ride.
From the wide gate, he will roll forward and make his own luck on-speed before proving hard to get past.
