Media tipsters rise to the top
The horse racing journalists, form analysts and media presenters have had a cracking start to 2020.
This trend continued over the past 7 days, with two members from Australia's horse racing media taking out the top two spots on the leaderboard for most cash profit.
Leading the way and earning the week's gold was Nick Quinn.
As well as providing his free horse racing tips through the Herald Sun newspaper, Quinn is a well known figure in racing broadcasting.
He is a presenter with both SKY Racing and the TAB, where his opinions and insights reveal a sharp racing mind.
This is also evident from his latest tip results.
In the last week, Quinn tipped 19 winners at a thumping 40% strike rate.
This generated a hefty cash profit of $2,720 from $100 win bets, at a 57% POT.
But the tip stat that will excite punters most is Quinn's recent form.
The form analyst is seeing them like beach balls at the moment, having found a profit in all 4 of his previous 4 tipping days.
Nick Quinn's hot tipping form
There's no doubt that punters will be launching into Quinny's next selections.
Securing the silver this week for most cash profit was Best Bets analyst John Barker.
Barker located a handful of impressive winners across the Flemington and Launceston meets last Saturday.
He notched up 7 winners in total, which came at a meaty average price just shy of the $6 mark.
Considering Barker also tipped at an ultra-accurate strike rate of 41%, it's no surprise that he ended up with a giant 146% POT.
In fact, change the leaderboard settings to "Actual Stake" and Barker's POT jumps even higher up to 153%.
In terms of cash profit, Barker ended up with $3,220 from $100 win bets putting him on the top of the Actual Stake leaderboard.
What an effort.
John Barker piles on the profit
One of the best punting performances this week came from Trevjess.
This pro punter finished up with $1,870 in cash profit, after no less than 19 of his tips got home at a juicy average price of $6.25.
His standout selection was Lord Von Costa, that greeted the judge at $30.90 odds at Flemington last Saturday.
Trevjess' reels in a roughie
Followers of this pro punter will be hoping that there's plenty more Saturday racing tips like this one in 2020.
But Trevjess wasn't the only one who managed to tip this roughie in the 8th race at Flemington on Saturday.
Resident tipster Michael Gannon got in on the action too.
Lord Von Costa was one of Gannon's 5 winners in the past week, that earnt his followers $1,730 in cash profit.
But what Gannon's followers really appreciate is his consistency.
The Sydney-based tipster is now sitting on a profit of $2,410 from $100 win bets over the past 180 days from no less than 614 tips.
And with 4 profitable tipping days from his last 6, Gannon isn't showing any signs of slowing down any time soon.
