Race 1 - Power Of Opal
Power Of Opal caught the eye in the Midway, producing an impressive finish off a slow tempo.
She posted the 4th fastest last 200m of the entire meeting, indicating her turn of foot and stamina will be further improved over more ground.
With this performance, she’s emerged as a genuine Oaks contender, currently priced at $15.00 in all-in markets.
Keep her in mind as she steps up in distance and tackles the staying challenges ahead.
Race 8 - Adelaide River
Although Adelaide River struggled during the Queensland carnival, he looks to be back in form now.
His recent run showed promise, racing against the pattern of the day and clocking the fastest last 200m of the race.
With improvement expected, Adelaide River could be on track to return to his best.
Race 10 - Well Timed
Well Timed is a horse with a bright future and showed he can handle a rise in grade with ease.
Despite jumping from the widest gate and being ridden with cover off a slow tempo, the race shape worked against him this time.
However, with the step up to 1400m next start, expect a big run as he continues to develop and improve.
Keep an eye on him as he rises through the ranks.
