Flemington is currently rated a Good 4, with the rail in the true position.
With fine weather forecast, the track looks set to play fair and punters can expect all runners to get their chance.
Below are three of my top selections for the Flemington card. Get my complete set of tips for Saturday's racing here.
Sebrakate (12) drawn wide has early speed, so connections may opt for the outside fence or the middle of the track. This would set the race up for a great spectacle.
Dubious (1) and Super Seth (2) will push forward from the inside draws and are likely to head to the running rail.
Dalasan beat Scales Of Justice at weight-for-age last start and now comes back to his own age group.
From barrier six, he should be able to take a sit behind the leaders and make his run from the 200. If he repeats that effort, he'll prove too good for these. Clear top-pick.
Super Seth was impressive last start, beating the talented King Of Hastings. From barrier two, he'll take a forward position and will give them something to catch.
Dubios should get a soft run on-pace and performs a lot better on firmer ground.
1st Delasan
2nd Super Seth
3rd Dubious
Spanish Whisper (4) and Spanish Reef (1) should jump straight to the lead here, with Music Bay (8) and Miss Siska (6) to sit behind them.
Fidelia’s first-up run over the 1200m was exceptional when coming from the back, to finish only 2.2 lengths off the talented Pippie.
This mare has tremendous turn of foot and from mid-field and two off the fence, she'll make her run from the 400m and finish strongly over the top of them.
My Pendant will be forced to go back from the wide gate, but will follow Fedelia home in the run and can run the quinella.
Princess Jenni is first-up here and will improve, but on class alone, she is the clear third pick.
1st Fedelia
2nd My Pendant
3rd Princess Jenni
I expect Gatting (8), Gailo Chop (6) and Yucatan (2) to be up front leading the way with Fifty Stars (3) and Scales Of Justice (9) to sit just behind them.
Mystic Journey is the real deal and has taken everything before her to date. From barrier 10, she will be able to sit mid-field with cover and use her brilliant turn of foot to win again.
Scales Of Justice is racing in career best form, with strong wins in the Bletchingly and Memsie Stakes. From barrier nine, he'll likely push forward and sit just behind the leaders to take the box seat. Expect him to look the winner a long way out.
Mr Quickie is first-up and will no doubt improve off this run, but this four-year-old can run quick time and will be rattling home.
1st Mystic Journey
2nd Scales Of Justice
3rd Mr Quickie
