David Gately is all set for another big weekend of racing across Sydney and Melbourne, revealing his two best plays of the day.
All ratings for CAULFIELD are for SOFT track.
Minimal rain about Friday/ Saturday but it’s damn cold and doubt much drying weather about.
Rail is back TRUE. We had 9m rail last meeting and track played OK, perhaps hard inside later was not the A-ground.
When 6m prior the fence was well and truly ‘’off’’.
In Sydney it is ROSEHILL and ratings are for SOFT-5 range there.
Again, just a few nagging showers predicted may well keep us in that Soft rating. Rail is back TRUE.
Was 7m (1500m-to-WP) last meeting and the inside lanes were the place to be. Was 4m (same dimensions) prior and the fence was off.
Last true rail was 16th of July on Heavy ground, and the fence was… ‘’off’’. We shall see…
Caulfield Race 5 #12 Aft Cabin $2.60
Debut was good (gap 3rd).
Then onto better than bottomless track Sandown and he won like a very good horse.
He thrashed Bel Air (who had been on heels of Berkeley Square) and ran terrific last 600m / overall time doing it.
Randwick Race 5 #10 Grace And Harmony $3.00
Slow out fresh and still well back turn off slow pace (-11L) then recorded 33.84 last 600m and 11.22 last 200m (days fastest last 200m).
She beat home last week’s winner Pizarro and Niffler too.
Now down in weights up 100m.
