Scone hosts the transferred Gunnedah meeting on Tuesday, with seven strong races for punters to devour.
The track is currently rated a Good 4 and sunshine forecast for the NSW Hunter region.
The rail is in the true position, which should give every runner a chance across the wide open Scone track.
From the stewards
Vinaigrette in race 2 is the one which stands out for me in the stewards report.
The Salade mare has been luckless at her four starts since switching to the Stirling Osland's stable.
In her last outing she had to be steadied when passing the 700m mark due to the slow tempo, before being blocked for a run at the early part of the straight.
Greg Ryan takes the reigns and should give her every chance to break her maiden at attractive odds.
I've identified 3-races on today's card that represent good betting opportunities.
Below is my best bet and quaddie numbers. For my full tip package and runner comments, click here.
The Verrazano mare looks primed for another win this preparation, as she gets her first look at a good track.
In her last run at Dubbo, she did plenty of work throughout whilst sitting outside the leader before peaking late on the heavy going. She was also found to have a poor recovery.
From the better draw here, she gets her chance to relax and the drier surface will only enhance her chances.
She drops in grade back to a class 1 and looks the one to beat.
From the draw, expect jockey Anthony Cavallo to find a nice spot off the fence in the first half of the field.
With even luck in the run, I expect her to be too good for this field.
Race 4: 1, 2, 8
Race 5: 2
Race 6: 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 14, 16
Race 7: 2, 4, 5
