The month of July is one of the quietest on the racing calendar, with few feature races taking place.
However that didn't seem to worry the pro punters, who shrugged off the cold to clean up and put the media experts to shame.
The pros took all three spots on the podium in both the highest cash profit and highest Profit on Turnover (POT) categories.
Read on to find out who they were, as well as the best media tipsters from each category.
Topping the pops with a mammoth profit of $15,890 was Doctorevil.
Usually pro punters fall into one of two categories.
There are value punters who just go for the roughies, or there are the others who like to rack up plenty of short priced winners.
Doctorevil had both sides covered in July.
Not only did this North Queenslander tip a terrific 63 winners, but this included long shots like Not Overly Plucked which saluted at 130/1 at Moe on the 20th.
It's no wonder Doctorevil cracked the $15K mark.

Incredibly, it wasn't just one but two tipsters who found $15K in profit in July.
Ochiltwig racked up $14,960 profit from 7 winners at an average price of $30.66.
It seemed as though the South Australian tipster had a look at Doctorevil's 130/1 winner and said "anything you can do, I can do better".
That's because five days later on the 25th, he jagged a tip of the year contender in Recondition at Pinjarra paying $148.

Picking up the bronze medal is a pro punter who definitely fits into the value category.
We're talking of course of Formulator, the pro punter with 40+ years of experience in the game.
In July, this Victorian's two winners at an average price of $48.10 generated a cash profit of $6,120.
Formulator has devised his own betting systems in the past, and is owing this success to a new and improved system that he's recently implemented.
You know another big winner from Formulator is just around the corner.
The media expert who made the most profit in July was none other than David Gately.
The popular Melbourne tipster racked up 18 winners throughout the month, reeling in $2,160 profit for those punters following his selections with $100 win bets.
It's no wonder his tips are in high demand and luckily for punters, you can get your hands on Gator's exclusive Saturday racing package here.
SKY Racing caller Matt Jackson also had a month to remember.
Not only did he find $2K in profit for his followers, but he also had a big month on a personal level following the birth of his twin children.
We wish Matt all the best and plenty of well wishes and winners!
Rounding out the top 5 placings was Steve Hewlett, Craig Sant and RSN's Terry Bailey.

Going one better than his second-placed finish in the highest cash profit category, Ochiltwig picked up the gold for highest POT.
His 7 winnig tips generated a very tidy 230% POT.
You'll be hard-pressed to find a more accomplished and all-round display of tipping in 2019.
The silver medal in the POT category goes to Formulator.
What more can we say about this tipping legend?
Maybe the fact that his stellar effort in July took him back up to the summit of the all-time leaderboard for most cash profit.
Considering the sheer volume of tips Formulator has entered over the years, it's nothing short of remarkable that he's sitting on an all-time POT of 4%.
The final spot on the podium goes to pro punter Bigrig13.
This latest effort marks the third time in 2019 that Bigrig13 has cracked his way into this article as one of the tipsters of the month.
There's sure to be plenty more where that came from from this popular Kiwi punter.
Queenslander Nathan Exelby was the media analyst with the highest POT in July.
The racing editor ended the month with an impressive 92% POT.
Darren Flindell also deserves a brief wrap for his latest efforts.
The race caller showed that he can do much more than call the horses. He can tip them too.
The Sky stable was also well represented in the top 5 by Craig Sant and Tony Wode.
