The early price action is again providing a true guide on the hopes of key runners.
At Sandown a lightly raced Price/Kent 3yo filly looks well above average and has not been missed by early shoppers.
Whilst at Rosehill, a James Packer owned import has been singled out for specific attention in betting, with the expectation he will relish the longer trip.

La Fracas
Defied a betting drift ($1.90 out to $2.50) on debut to post an impressive 2 length win over 1200m at Pakenham.
He looks well suited by the step up to 1400m here following the last start effort, where he raced close to the speed and was still strong through the line.
In a medium size field (10) and with a lack of genuine pressure, he could take control in this and prove very hard to run past.
Can go back-to-back.
Miss Roumbini
Above average Price/Kent 3yo filly who is lightly raced and looks to have plenty more to offer.
She was excellent at Pakenham last start when well found in betting late ($3.6 into $2.80) before showing plenty of fight to place 2nd of 7.
There was a big gap back to third placing last time out and this indicates strong metro potential.
Hard To Cross
Has been dominating all preparation winning his last 2 starts at this track and distance with ease.
Although up in weight (61.5kg) he does draw a soft gate in barrier 5 and will have plenty of mid-field speed map favours from there.
The rider is in white-hot form and seems to have a confidence about her not seen in Victorian racing for some time.
Her claim here could be the key.
Nicolini Vito
Another Sandown specialist (2:2-0-0) who is in a rich vein of form following the latest Sandown win, in good grade at Benchmark 100 level.
From gate 1 they won’t spend a cent in the run, and provided they find clean air he should again be all over the top late.
Jye McNeil appears to be a rider upgrade here, where he is striking good form around Melbourne metro and provincial tracks.
Kureder
This appears to be a classic Waller set-up where the money was not there last start ($8 out to $12) and the horse was ridden cold with little intent.
From the low draw (gate 2) on this occasion they will show more urgency to position midfield or better.
With the added fitness and booking of Josh Parr, this is likely to be the race he has been set to peak in.
Silvanito
The stable firmly believe he is up to Saturday metro grade, and he has had genuine excuses at his past two starts.
Last time out at Scone he was strung up along the inside and sustained a fetlock laceration, hence can be forgiven.
Given clear passage here and an economical run throughout, expect he can be the big improver.
Eye Pea Oh
Races for prominent owner Matthew Sandblom who the training partnership will be very keen to impress.
She is a tough horse who unfortunately sits just in between provincial and metro grade however does strike a very winnable off-season race here.
Rock hard fit after plenty of recent racing, I’d expect her to be one of the strongest late and to be well suited stepping up to 1300m.
Point King
UK import for high-profile owners Team Williams and James Packer, who will expect results from the Kris Lees stable with this runner.
He was only given a “pipe-opener” last start at Randwick when on debut in Australia over 2000m and is likely to need much further.
The 2400m here sets up well and I expect he will be the one stoking up late, and charging home from the 200m mark.
