Racing returns to Rosehill with plenty of intriguing races on the card.
The rail is in the true position for the entire circuit and the weather is expected to be brilliant leading in.
Our leading NSW form analysts have settled on their best plays for the meeting.
Rosehill Race 1 #9 Ichiban $126
No this is not a typo, I genuinely think this 2YO colt can give this race a shake.
It was clear in the trials that he was still learning his craft, but he was solid enough to indicate he had potential, especially with how green he was.
At start #1 he jumped well from an inside barrier to land on the rail in a lovely trailing position, however after 500m he checked off heels and got shuffled right back through the field.
He picked himself up and ran on well from the rear indicating that he is maturing rapidly with race experience.
Judging by his breeding 1600-2000m will be his likely target range, but the 1400m with 2YO's zipping along in front should give him the perfect set up to run on well.
Regan Bayliss takes the ride and will have his work cut out for him, but granted he finds a spot in running I think the current quote is way overs.
Especially on a $13 place line.
Rosehill R9 #4 Space Tracker $3.60
Produced a big run in his Aussie debut when running 3rd to Resonator.
He will strip fitter off that fast run race and the step up to the 1500m is ideal.
The 3kg claim for Jett Stanley sees him carrying only 56kg and jumping from barrier 8 is of no concern.
He will land on speed and with natural progression, he should prove too good for these.
Rosehill R9 #4 Space Tracker $3.60
Space Tracker once again looks well placed here.
The rail is back in the true at Rosehill and I expect it to favour those up on speed.
He strips fitter for the first up run and is set to improve sharply.
He should find the leader's back and be too strong.
