At Randwick we are currently racing on a Good 4 with the rail in the true position for the entire circuit. I'm expecting the track to be in near perfect condition on Saturday for one of the biggest days on the Sydney racing calendar, let’s hope it plays evenly and everyone gets their chance.
As far as Bendigo goes, we are currently racing on a Good 4 with the rail also true the entire. With the way the track is set up, all runners should get their chance to find their position before the turn in the longer races and down the chute in the shorter races. I'm hoping for an even surface here with all the good weather around.
This week i've picked out my two best each way plays at Randwick and my two safe plays at Bendigo. If you’d like to read my full set of Saturday selections for both meets, get them here.
Race 7 #14 Belfast (Each Way)
Was easily the run of the race in the Tulloch when he did everything wrong and was last on the turn but still rattled home to only finish 2.2L off the winner. He will have taken plenty from that run and if he puts it all together here, he will be right there at the finish. $10 win, $3.50 place
Race 9 #11 Lanciato (Each Way)
Is an absolute beauty, his trademark flashing run down the outside has seen him collect three in a row. He’s fifth-up here, hard fit and carrying no weight at all. Watch for him flying late. $18 win, $5 place
Race 7 #6 Kiwia
Was excellent first-up where he flew home down the outside and just missed. He's won two from three over the trip and with any luck in running he should be there at the finish. $5.50
Race 9 #5 King's Command
Was outstanding when winning for us last time out when he won in style scoring by over 5L. He’s looking to make it three in a row here and off the back of a nice four week freshen, he should be ready to give this a very good shake. $5
