Buckle up for a thumping Day 1 of The Championships.
This year's edition of the Sires for the 2YO's is a belter, with Golden Slipper winner Fairburn the well supported favourite.
Not to be over-shadowed, the time honoured TJ Smith Stakes features some of the best sprinters in the country.
Surprise machine Shelby Sixtysix will be well backed, as he aims to lower the colours of Nature Strip once again. Eduardo will be determined to spoil the party however.

The Early Favourite - Fireburn $2.70
Every year the peanut gallery are out in full voice potting the Golden Slipper winner at their next start.
I doubt any of them will put their money where their mouth is this year!
Her Slipper victory was elite! After overcoming trouble, she had no right to win the way she did.
Clear on top selection.
Best Racing Tips
Fireburn picks herself on top. The only knock is the lack of tempo in this race compared to the slipper.
If there was a strong tempo, she'd be a moral. She's not far off however and there's only one danger for me.
She's Extreme was given an average steer in the Slipper. Her run was inconclusive at best and I have little doubt if she sticks to the rail, she runs top 2.
Tommy Berry jumps on and with the lack of speed engaged, I expect him to be positive from the barriers.
This will give him clean air and a 2-3 length head start over his main rival. It may not be enough, but I'm happy to have a few bucks on her to find out.
Daumier races like a gutsy type who will handle the Heavy 10. His racing pattern will be an advantage in race that lacks speed and there's no doubt he'll be thereabouts.
Showcourt was desperately unlucky behind Sejardan on a Heavy 10 last start.
He's had a tick over trial in preparation and gets the services of J-Mac.
He's drawn well and could easily jump out of the ground on Saturday.

The Early Favourite - Nature Strip ($3.10)
Went up a horribly short ($2.50) earlier in the week, but is getting to a backable price now.
He's drawn to his liking, always bounces back third-up and is a big time player.
Looks a betting proposition.
Best Racing Tips
Eduardo is as gutsy as they come. The wetter the better for him, as we know we won't turn it up under pressure.
Barrier 3 poses no concern, he'll jump and run and will give his rivals something to catch.
The $3.90 available is a bet for me.
Nature Strip is the best sprinter in the land, but may be vulnerable on a bottomless surface.
At the $3, I'm happy to save on him given his impressive 3rd up ratings.
Shelby Sixtysix has been super this preparation. He gets a bottomless track which he'll just relish.
I doubt he'll turn tables on Eduardo, or get past Nature Strip this time around. It'd be great to seem him loom into the finish however.
Belluci Babe relished the rain affected 1200m at Randwick two starts back and can fill a place here.
She's rock hard fit, has drawn for an easy run and will find the best going in the straight.
Doubt she'll frighten the Eduardo or Nature Strip, but she can add value to exotics.
