Eagle Farm Race 5 Tip #10 Wildwood Jade $6.50
This Matthew Dunn trained mare has been running on strongly from well back in recent races and now gets to the perfect trip over 1800m.
Many of her rivals here have had difficulties in finding the line, so that will be in her favour late.
The daughter of I Am Invincible has drawn well for the first time in a while, so from barrier 3 jockey Jim Byrne may decide to sit closer to the speed than previous starts.
She will be finishing off hard again and might just have the killer punch to take out her opposition at good odds.
Kensington Race 4 Tip #4 Rainbow Connection $8.50
This gelding has been seen at four trials in readiness for his debut outing today.
His first two back in September and October were a good learning experience for him. He took plenty of benefit from hit-outs, showing his class when finishing off well behind Vowmanster.
He then went to a Canterbury trial and was again ridden cold, before working home well to win over the 1100m.
The 1150m looks ideal today and from barrier 7, look for Jason Collett to sit beyond mid-field in the run before unleashing the son of Choisir down the outside.
Kensington Race 7 Tip #5 Brookspire $2.90
This looks a lovely race for the daughter of Hinchinbrook as she profiles as the one to beat.
The smart 3YO filly from the Chris Waller yard hasn’t put a foot wrong in her short career and brings elite form-lines into a midweek event.
Last preparation, she was a winner on protest over the 1400m at Kensington after defeating Exoboom who went on to frank that form-line after winning two straight.
First-up this preparation, she was set an impossible task from the rear before running on gamely to finish third behind Harmony Rose. That horse strengthened that form line with a placing in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas.
She's second-up from a spell, strips fitter and stays at 1400m which looks ideal.
James McDonald sticks from the good draw and I expect her to be too good for her rivals, with bigger targets in mind throughout the autumn.
Kensington Race 7 Tip #5 Brookspire $2.90
This 3YO from the Waller yard is building herself a solid record and she looks to have an edge on this field.
On debut, she chased gallantly behind breakaway leader Tastebud on a day where there was a savage leader's bias.
She broke her maiden on protest against Exoboom, who has since posted two booming wins back-to-back and looks a smart customer himself.
The filly was then tipped out for a spell and only given the one trial before running well first-up from a wide barrier on a wet Kensington track.
She chased gamely behind Fashchanel and Harmony Rose, who ran a valiant third in the Group 1 Randwick Guineas on Saturday.
She will take improvement out of that run and presents perfectly here second-up sticking to 1400m.
She will appreciate getting back on a firm deck, maps perfectly from barrier 2 to sit closer in the run and has the best jockey in Sydney on her back.
Everything points to a dominate showing and she’s the best of the day!
