There has been a deluge in Brisbane this week and the track is currently rated a Heavy 10 with further showers forecast. Mudders will definitely come into play.
Back in May 2020, this mare from the Les Ross stable ran an excellent third at three-year-old Quality level on a Heavy track behind Wapiti. She handled the going very well that day, on what was her only go on that surface.
The form around that race stood up well, with the second placed Cellarmaid, defeating Wapiti at her next start. Wapiti at her following run won the Group 3 Winx Guineas.
Mishani Secret looks well placed third-up in this BM70 over 2020m. Last start in a BM78, she acquitted herself well running third to Couldn't Refuse over 1600m.
Jockey Michael Cahill has gate 10 to contend with, however the wide draw will be advantagous at this stage of the day given they'll be coming away from the fence in an attempt to plough through the heavy going.
She's back in grade and has been competitive in much tougher assignments, and I'm very keen to take the early $6 quote about this girl.
Gosford Race 8 Tip #6 Bizou $8.00
Looks a pretty strong race on paper, with plenty of early speed engaged to boot.
We backed Anotherthinkcomin' at big odds when he saluted last start, but he does look a little short at the $3.50 today.
The John O'Shea trained Bizou comes out of a much stronger race, where the form-lines have been franked after runner-up Elegant Grace won at Randwick Kensington yesterday.
Bizou's final 200m was exceptional over the 1350m, suggesting the rise to 1600m third-up should be ideal.
Tommy Berry takes the ride from barrier 9 and will no doubt attempt to find cover midfield or beyond.
With the speed on, the son of Zoustar will be mowing them down late.
