Pros pile on the profits

While the media experts had a strong showing in August, Septemeber was all about the pro punters.

Some familiar faces found themselves on the podium for most cash profit and highest POT.

Two punters also managed the impressive feat of making the top three in both categories.

Read on to see who cleaned up in September.

Highest Cash Profit

With a mind-boggling $15,260 in cash profit from $100 win bets, the top performer of the month was Tezzaraki.

This tipping veteran from the Moreton Bay area of Queensland has racked up numerous tipster of the week and month mentions over the years.

Having said that, this latest effort might just be his best on record.

Tezzaraki tipped no less than 75 winners in September, at a meaty average price in excess of the $10 mark.

After tipping a stack of winners at these odds, it's no wonder he found his way to the summit.

Securing the silver with an equally astonishing total profit of $13,020 was Intrepidarts.

The Sydneysider proved that city folk make just as good tipsters as those from outside the big smoke.

Intrepidarts' profit was generated by 6 winning tips at a thumping average price of $29.70.

Finding some rough stuff was clearly the secret to this punter's success.

Indeed, if the odds are anything to go by, Intrepidarts must have been one of the handful of people in the entire country who tipped Dad's Blaze at Newcastle on the 5th.

The bronze medallist for most cash profit also did it through finding a roughie or two.

This punter was VacantLot, who hails from Merimbula on NSW's Far South Coast.

Despite tipping just two winners, VacantLot ended the month with just shy of $6K in profit.

Both of his winners were roughies, but the fatter of the two was Dezzy, which got home at 70/1 at Corowa on the 16th.

If you think VacantLot fluked these roughies, think again.

That's because this is the second consecutive month that he's made the podium for most cash profit, after picking up the silver in August.

This New South Welshman is emerging as one of the best value tipsters going around.

He boasts an enviable 44% POT from 273 selections over the past 365 days, which further demonstrates his consistancy.

Highest POT

After bagging such a huge profit, it's no surprise that Interpidarts went one better and picked up the gold for highest POT.

At this stage, his Dad's Blaze selection stands as the tip of the year.

It contributed to Intripearts's monster  271% POT for the month of September.

VacantLot is the second punter to feature on both podiums in September.

His massive 190% POT earnt him the silver medal.

But once again, this punter's achievements are all the more special considering his recent run of form.

He picked up the gold for highest POT in August, which now makes it two consecutive months where he's featured in the top three of both categories.

VacantLot is certainly one of the candidates for the best punter of 2019.

With a 122% POT, Elcocapitan is the punter who brought home the bronze.

This West Australian left it too late in the month to make his move.

Stellar performances at last Wednesday and Saturday's Belmont meets were the driving force behind his September success.

Overall, Elcopaitan bagged 5 winners at an average price of $13.32, from just 30 tips in September.

Looking at this combination of value and accuracy, it's no wonder Elocapitan's POT sits as high as it does.

Best Media Experts by POT

As much as they would love it, this article can't be entirely about the pro punters.

There were a number of media experts who started their Spring campaign on the front foot.

The month clearly belonged to Nathan Exelby from the Daily Telegraph, who steered his followers into plenty of juicy winners.

Exelby has been in terrific form of late, and is currently sitting on a hot streak having secured a profit over the last four consecutive Saturdays.

He's been flying in Queensland, tipping 15 winners to generate a tidy 75% POT.

The Sky Racing stable was well represented in the top five, with Anthony Manton and Mick Wallace steering their followers into plenty of joy.

Adam Crettenden put himself in the mix following a cracking day at Kyneton on Friday 20th September. The RSN form analyst tipped six winners from the nine race card which included an $18 pop.

Alan Pearce from the Best Bets rounded out the top 5. The Sydney specialist bagged eight winners which yielded 33% POT.

Media Outlet Tipster Winning Tips POT

Nathan Exelby 15 75%

Anthony Manton 13 42%

Adam Crettenden 20 37%

Mick Wallace 12 33%

Alan Pearce 8 33%
