With clear air here, they’re confident she will make amends.   Ahha Ahha Again from the McDonald yard, this time with Jamie Mott booked, a huge push from connections. Drifted badly last start ($10 to $18) with a junior rider, now serious intent with a senior hoop aboard. If the money comes again late, consider it game over.   Poppin’ Champagne Back to Melbourne after contesting stronger company in Sydney. Was solid behind Know Thyself at Randwick and now faces a drop in class. The switch in stables and surface gives her every chance to show her best and figure in the finish.   Oh Too Good Charged home against the bias at Caulfield last start, placing 3rd despite being off-speed. Second-up and fitter, expect her to race closer in the run. The strike rate says it all (9:4-3-2). Clearly above average and targeting black type races.   Randwick Tips   Agarwood The Gai & Bott camp rarely miss when they go forward on their home deck and this filly looks bombproof. Demolished her rivals at Warwick Farm when heavily backed ($2.85 into $2.10). Now fitter, more seasoned, and maps to control this from the front. Hard to run down.   Power Of The Brave Kris Lees sends this one from Newcastle with intent. He is rock-hard fit and well-placed in this grade. A 3kg claim gets the weight right down, and from a good gate expect a bold front-running ride. A genuine sting job.   Quantum Cat Third-up for Waller and poised to peak. Showed glimpses last prep in deeper races and looks set for a breakthrough here. The stable is on song, and this has the hallmarks of a target race. If more money arrives late, just follow it.   Spione The trainers could not sell this one and he remains in their ownership. Was stiff not to win last start at Randwick after being held up and flashing late. Drawn wide, but they’ll look to slot in and produce late. With early speed and just 54kg, Acheson should land on-pace and be the first to strike in the better going. He may not be the classiest in the race, but the conditions and map heavily favour him. A high-upside play at generous odds.   Race 4 – #11 Rotagilla $9.50 Rotagilla is deep into his prep and arrives here rock-hard fit for his sixth run this campaign. He was a strong last-start winner over this distance on a heavy surface, which is a major tick given Saturday’s likely conditions. The 2kg claim for Zac Waddick brings him in at just 54kg, and from barrier 6, he maps to land forward of midfield in a great position. With mostly sunny conditions in the 48 hours leading into Saturday, expect the track to present as a Soft 5, possibly even a Good 4 by race time. The rail remains in the True position for the second straight week.   Speed Map Overview As expected, Pride Of Jenni rolls forward and sets the tempo, with Lindermann positioning up close behind. From a wide gate, Bois D’Argent is likely to push forward as well and could sit outside the leader. A cluster of midfielders, including Ospienko and Eliyass, will be jostling for position after jumping from awkward barriers. Further back, the likes of Antino, Fawkner Park, Militarize, and Kovalica are expected to settle in the second half of the field and look to launch late.     The Favourite – Antino $3.50 There’s no denying Antino is in top form, storming home to win the G2 Hollindale last start on a heavy track. He’s got a big finish, but punters should be cautious diving into anything under $4.00. From a wide draw, he’ll drift back and hope for a genuinely fast tempo to unleash that final sectional. A drying surface dulls his edge slightly, but he’s a serious winning chance if the race shape plays into his hands.   Neil’s Best Bet – Fawkner Park $8.50 Fifth-up and back onto drier ground, Fawkner Park shapes as the value runner of the race. He was strong to the line behind Antino in the Hollindale and now steps back up to a more suitable 2000m trip. While he's performed admirably on soft ground, his stats on firmer footing are exceptional—8 wins from 17 starts on good tracks. Expect him to settle worse than midfield, get to the outside, and thunder home late. At the price, he’s the clear each-way play of the race.   The Dangers Antino ($3.50) – Proven G2 winner with a big finish, but needs the race to unfold perfectly. Kovalica ($10.50) – Second-up and rising in trip; loves drier tracks and is a genuine improver. Pride Of Jenni ($4.40) – Will try to control from the front, but 2000m remains a query at this pressure. Lindermann ($9.00) – Rock-hard fit and maps beautifully to stalk the leader.
