Best bets from leading tipsters
The action comes thick and fast around the country on Saturday. The form has been done and the team are ready to kick-start the massive day ahead.
Eagle Farm Race 2 Tip #1 Finsceal $3.10
This Tom Button trained runner was very impressive last start and gave every indication he is ready for the step up in distance to the mile.
With the scratching of the bottom weight Hats, every single one of these three-year-olds are heading to the 1600M for the first time.
At his last run, the son of Irish sire Territories was locked in a stirring battle down the straight with Release The Beans before going down by a neck.
That was a great guide to this bloke's ability as the winner has won 4 of his 5 starts.
An additional telling tale was the margin to third horse, Rockin Artie. The top two place-getters were more than 7 lengths in front and the two clash here as key competitors.
Experienced jockey Jim Byrne rides him again and will sit back in the field to watch the race unfold.
Expect Byrne to ask for the superior effort after straightening and prove too strong for them over the final furlong.
The current price looks mighty inviting for mine.

Moonee Valley Race 2 Tip #8 Mr Brightside $2.80
This lightly raced gelding faces his toughest test to date here.
Every race this campaign he has looked to have plenty of untapped potential left in the tank.
The rise in grade to a Benchmark 78 over 1600 metres looks reasonable in an attempt to stretch his winning sequence to four.
In each of his winning runs, he’s taken up a forward spot on the speed and controlled the race.
From barrier eight, look for Craig Williams to again send him forward in the early stages in a race where his dangers are likely to settle back in the run.
With a moderate tempo expected up front, Willo can get his rivals off the bit early by making a move prior to the bend to have them catching early.
Looks a great early bet.

Randwick Race 7 Tip #6 Rock $11.00
This Pierro gelding has been a consistent performer his whole career to date.
He has struggled to win in his past few campaigns, but this he's been much better than the form guide suggests.
First-up over the unsuitable 1200m in a race that lacked any genuine tempo up top, he really surged late.
He steps up to the suitable distance of 1400m, where he has won 3 out of 4 second up.
He wasn't far off Zaaki in the Doncaster and with fitness on his side and the good draw, I can see him starting a much shorter quote than what's on offer.
Even on an each-way basis, the place is paying more than Zaaki to win making Rock the much more attractive bet at odds.
He handles all grounds, so if the expected rain comes there is no concern on this front either.
Expect Jockey Jay Ford to hold a much more forward position in the run from the good draw, before peeling out to give Rock every possible chance in the straight.

Eagle Farm Race 5 Tip #4 Je Suis Belle $2.45
This sprint race really lacks the quality expected for a Saturday race, but produces my best bet.
There is not much between the top 2 in the market being Le Palmier and my top pick Je Suis Belle.
Given the tight first turn, drawing the inside will land Je Suis Belle in the perfect trailing position on the fence.
Last run she didn't step away the best, so she will need to change her manners to be a chance here. Despite the slow start that day, she managed to muster and punch forward out wide to sit handy.
Even with the added work early, she showed a strong kick in the straight to pull away for a deserved win after a string of placings.
This weekend she gets the rail as a guide and just needs to get around the likely leader and roughie, In A Step, to be winning again.

Mildura Race Race 2 Tip #5 Brownie $ - TBD
Looked the winner halfway up the straight at Sale, but was collared late by Smart Mozzie.
Smart Mozzie then went up in grade and didn't win, but was still competitive franking the strong form-lines.
Brownie's last run was a much better effort than the debut, which was on heavy ground.
I expect her to go forward again here and give a great sight.
