Eagle Farm Race 4 #2 Shogun Sun $4.80
This is the easiest assignment the son of Written Tycoon has tackled for some time and he is a clear top ratings pick.
The Kelly Schweida trained gelding has been competitive at Open Handicap level and has two wins over the 1200m trip.
He was given an easy hit out in a recent trial and looks to have come back in nice order.
From the wide gate, look for him to settle towards the rear of the small field but be within a few lengths of them when straightening.
First-up in this Class 4, he has the class edge and can sprint over the top of them late.

Gawler Race 3 Tip #13 Lady Dunmore $2.00
I'm keen on the Phillip Stokes trained filly, who maps perfectly from barrier 4 second-up.
She jumped as an odds-on favourite last start at this track, however she got too far back in the field before wanting to lay in after peaking on her run.
The Heavy 8 track clearly didn't suit and you can expect a much improved performance today, as she gets back to the good going and steps up in trip to 1200m.
She’s clearly better than midweek maiden grade and will be winning bigger and better races than this moving forward.
I expect her to firm as one of the best-backed runners of the day.

Warwick Farm Race 2 Tip #4 Kaakit Akit $5.50
I am very keen to see the return of this Artie Schiller filly, after a solid first preparation.
She was far too good for her opposition on debut at Randwick Kensington, after being backed off the map.
With a trial in between, she headed to the Group 3 Magic Night stakes where she faded in the straight. Rider Nash Rawiller commented that the deteriorating track conditions were to blame and the stable subsequently sent her for a nice rest.
She has come back with two encouraging trials on the synthetic which have her primed for this first-up tilt.
The filly won the first hit-out by 1.3 lengths and then finished third in the following workout, after being put under little pressure.
From a nice draw, she is expected to be taken to the front by Rawiller and will look to control proceedings throughout.
She will appreciate the step back in grade and the good racing surface.
Expect her to give us a sight for our money at a nice price.
