Wyong Race 4 #5 Mr Eighty Eight $5.00
Finally broke the best-man tag last start when he saluted at Forbes.
He now enters this contest 4th up and will be at peak fitness.
This lightly raced Gelding has been a model of consistency, missing the placings only three times from 14 starts.
The 1600m distance is where his best performances have come and he meets a moderate field where he can go back-to-back.
Dylan Gibbons is in outstanding form at the moment and gets the reins for the first time.
Look for him to take Mr Eighty Eight to the front and dictate to the field.
From there, the Wyong track will play right into his hands. He can kick strongly on the turn and give them all something to catch.
Wyong Race 6 #6 Miss Boom Boom $21.00 Each-way
This interesting 3YO filly from the Neasham camp has flown under the radar in the trials.
She has been smothered amongst other runners and has never really been pushed along.
Despite all this, she has been absolutely cruising and appears to have a cannon turn of foot ready to be released.
Jockey Chad Schofield rode her in the latest trial and now sticks on race day.
She meets a ripping line-up for a Tuesday at Wyong and will need to be at her best to win.
Should she not run at Wyong, she is dual accepted for the Thursday meeting at Hawkesbury.
To my eye, she appears a talent, just depends if she can put it all together on race day.
I am happy to find out at the quote of $21 and $5.
