Best plays for Sandown Lakeside
Victorian metropolitan racing takes place at the Sandown Lakeside track on Wednesday, with a strong eight-race card set to play out.
The track is currently rated a Soft 5 and with light showers forecast in the lead up to race day, the track will remain rain affected.
The rail is out 2m the entire circuit and at this set-up, expect the track to play fair early before suiting off-pace runners late in the day.

Sandown Lakeside Race 8 Tip #11 Wilmot Pass $2.90
This talented Rubick gelding will be looking to make it two from two at this track and distance.
He was incredibly unlucky at The Valley last start, when his barrier draw arguably cost him the race.
Jumping from barrier 1, he was slow to begin and was denied an opportunity to have a crack at them until the last 200m. Despite the challenging run, he still ran the second fastest split of the race in 11.76.
That hit-out rated much quicker than the BM70 on the same day and he meets two runners here who were competitive in that race.
He's won twice in soft conditions and is now fourth-up, so his fitness won't be a concern.
The in-form Jamie Kah jumps on board again and the pair will be looking for their third win together.
He looks very well-placed in this race and is the one to beat!

Sandown Lakeside Race 1 Tip #12 Starelle $3.00
I thought this filly was good in her first career start in May, when she hit the line hard to finish second behind Aidensfield at this track.
That horse had already shown ability by winning her debut at Caulfield, and made it two wins from two starts when she defeated Starelle.
The daughter of More than Ready looks perfectly placed stepping out to the 1400m at her second career start.
In a big push for her chances, Damien Oliver retains the ride and will jump from the soft draw in barrier 3.
She was impressive in a recent jump out against Montia and Rapidora, who have both broken their maidens.
If this filly has taken any improvement at all from her 85-day spell, she'll be very hard to beat.
