Best plays for Sandown Hillside
We're back at Sandown for Wednesday racing this week, with the Hillside track playing host to a strong eight-race card.
The track is currently rated a Soft 7 and the rail is out 12m the entire circuit.
At this set-up, expect the track to play fair throughout the day.

Sandown Hillside Race 5 Tip #7 Shandy $3.90
This mare is on the up after an eye-catching win at Bendigo when returning from a spell.
She began well in that clash but was snagged back from the wide draw, before flashing home to run the fastest last 600m, 400m, 200m sectionals of the race.
That win deserved more merit given it was difficult to make ground on the day.
She jumped out very well prior to that run which suggests she has returned in very good nick, and there's no reason to suggest she can't hold her form going forward.
The mare will enjoy the extra 100m here considering she's won up to the mile before, and her breeding suggests that she'll handle the soft conditions.
She's drawn much better for this assignment and with a lack of speed engaged, she can take a sit close to the leaders.
With gun hoop Jamie Kah retaining the ride, she'll be the one to catch on the turn.

Sandown Hillside Race 3 Tip #2 Light Pillar $4.50
The son of Galileo is building up to a win this prep and looks ideally placed in this race.
His last start over 2400m was strong and looks like the perfect set-up for another crack at the trip.
Now fourth-up, he's reaching peak fitness and his record of 3:2-1-0 at this distance suggests he's ready to win.
The 3kg claim for Laura Lafferty is a big plus. I expect Lafferty to be positive from the gates, to take advantage of the weight relief.
He ticks plenty of boxes here and is the one to beat!
