Pro punter domination

We've seen some cracking weeks from the pro punters in the past but it doesn't get much better than this.

The pros filled out 4 of the top 5 spots on the leaderboard for most cash profit, with a regular punter taking the other spot.

On the flip side, it was a miserable seven days for the media experts.

Incredibly, just one of them broke into the top ten.

But before we give this lone media expert a wrap, the pros get their moment in the sun.

Leading the way with a monster profit of $6,770 was themagicman.

This pro punter demonstrated that when you're hot, you're hot. That's because this latest effort is the second consecutive week he's been in the top 3 for highest cash profit.

This trend is evident in his recent results, with themagicman recording a profit in 7 of his previous 10 tipping days.

Horse Racing Tips

Themagicman's hot tipping streak

His big pay packet this week was driven by an incredible 69 winning tips, at a thumping 26% strike rate.

This pushes his 30 day profit in excess of $9K.

Themagicman is well on his way to being one of the best tipsters of August.

Another pro who has also been tearing it up lately is NODDY.

He recorded a big cash profit of $3,260 over the past seven days, at 102% POT.

If you're thinking that may just be a fluke, get a load of these stats.

NODDY is now sitting on 19% POT from all his tips over the last 180 days.

In this period, he has placed more than 200 bets, earning him just shy of $4K in cash.

But just as impressive is his recent form.

NODDY has found a profit in 7 of his previous 9 tipping days.

If you're looking for a punter in red-hot form, it's hard to go past this South Australian.

Noddy's 7 from 9 winning days

The last pro punter who did enough to earn a mention is Shogun.

This Queenslander steered his followers into 19 winning tips at a solid average price of $5.49.

If you wagered $100 bets on all of his selections, then you would've ended up with a cash profit just over $3K.

In terms of POT, Shogun ended the week on 41%.

Not bad going.

As much as we'd love to go on singing the praises of the pro punters, the media tipsters deserve their time in the spotlight too.

And in a horror week for the media experts, Aaron Mills from Racenet acquitted himself nicely.

Mills is a West Australian form expert, who tends to provide just three tips each week.

You're probably thinking how on earth Mills managed to crack into the leaderboard with just three selections.

He did it by finding big value, steering punters into $25.60 winner Go Crying at Belmont last Saturday.

On top of this, he also managed another short-priced winner and a placing from his other two selections.

Aaron Mills' tidy work on Saturday

This effort resulted in a cash profit of $2,430, and an unbelievable 810% POT.

Good luck finding a more precise tipping week than this.

Finally, Peter Davis deserves a wrap for his solid tipping display.

Davis, who provides his tips through Sydney Morning Herald Racing, is the regional racing editor for Fairfax Media.

But he wasn't always destined to follow the horses.

Davis first cut his teeth as a greyhound racing journalist, before eventually making the switch.

Those who followed his free tips in the past seven days would be thankful that he made the move.

Davis's 8 winners at a strike rate of 31% generated a cash profit of $1,370.

Not bad at all.
