Pros back to the top
After a relatively quiet spell from the pro punters, they hit back with a bang last week.
No less than six pros cracked the top 10 for most cash profit over the past seven days, with four of them also making the top 5.
Top 5 profit makers
The best of the lot was LuckyStar.
This Queenslander has frequently found his tipping alias mentioned in this article over the years.
And it's no wonder why if you have a look at his tip statistics for the past seven days.
He found 14 winners at a ripping average price of $11.16.
The absolute highlight tip was Calypso Bay, who got the job done at a juicy $93.80 at Doomben last Saturday.
LuckyStar's big winner
Calypso Bay plus LuckyStar's 13 other winners generated a cash profit of $6,230.
Another stellar effort from this consistent performer.
The next best on the leaderboard is another familiar face for readers of this column.
We're talking of Sandgroper, the proud West Australian who must've been one of our tipsters of the week more times than he can remember.
His latest effort saw $5,920 in cash profit resulting from his 31 winners.
Most of us have trouble finding one winner, let alone 31 of them.
Speaking of plenty of winning tips, this week's bronze medallist produced a flurry of them.
Themagicman managed to find 43 winners in all, driving an impressive cash profit of $2,570.
We're not sure if this punter is a fan of the magic man Joao Moreira, but he certainly showed that he's got plenty of tricks up his sleeve.
To tip 43 winners in seven days, you need to be a little bit special.
Onto the media experts, and the standout analyst for the past week was Super Racing's Greg Spletter.
Spletter steered his followers into 16 winners at a great strike rate of 35%.
If you backed all of Spletter's tips with $100 bets, then you would've been counting $1,980 in profit.
Those who doubled-up on his best bets made an even higher POT of 43%.
Not bad at all.
Paul Richards from Best Bets also delivered a cracking POT for his followers.
He finished the week with 63% POT, after tipping 11 winners at a phenomenal strike rate of 42%.
Best Bets has always had a great reputation amongst horse racing tragics.
And with their journos producing tipping displays like this, it's no wonder why.
The final mention goes to Peter Anthonisz, who provides his free tips through Perth Racing.
This form analyst is starting to make his mark on the Perth racing scene.
He's now notched up four profitable tipping days in a row, all of which came at Belmont racecourse.
Peter Anthinisz' tip streak.
In the last week, Anthonisz's POT sits at a monster 98%.
In cash terms, this equates to a profit of $1,560.
If you're on the hunt for some winning tips in the west, Anthonisz is your man.
