Bumper profits all round

There were some cracking profits on the horse racing leaderboard over the past week, with both the punters and media tipsters having their say.

Best Racing Tipsters

Best horse racing tipsters of the week

Coming out on top was pro punter Mattina, thanks to a monster 274% Profit on Turnover (POT).

The Victorian jagged 5 winners at a mind-blowing average price of $35.88.

The driving force was $163 pop Virtuosa, which defied its odds to win over in South Africa on Friday.

Horse Racing Roughie

Mattina finds a roughie in South Africa

But don't think that tipping this roughie was a fluke.

Mattina is listed as a pro punter for a reason, and is currently boasting a three-week winning streak, as well as a 277% POT from all his tips over the past 90 days.

Phenomenal numbers.

Next up with a 220% POT to show for his week's work is none other than TheSultan OfSydney.

The popular Twitter tipster was finding winners all over the country, and at a good price too.

His 6 winning selections greeted the judge at an average price of $11.18, to go along with an impressive 29% strike rate.

Highlights included $20 shot Smart Alick at Gawler, and $16 hope Danzibar Dancer at Newcastle.

And now with a three profitable months on the bounce, you know the Sultan's next tips will be as popular as ever.

Pro punter and resident form judge Ben Beare rounded out the podium.

The Victorian also found stacks of value, with his 13 winners getting up at an average price of $8.07.

Considering they also saluted at a strike rate of 34%, Beare shot the lights out.

These numbers resulted in a whopping 176% POT, or almost $7k for everyone who followed his horse racing tips with $100 bets.

Be sure to check out Beare's next selections.

Moving on, and a veteran punter dished up a contender for tip of the year.

Queenslander LuckyStar somehow managed to get a hold of De Thorn in Race 2 at Gawler on Saturday.

The rank outsider got up to pay a stupendous $251.80 on the tote.

Needless to say, this tip was the driving force behind LuckyStar's 162% POT.

Gawler Tips

Finishing up with a couple of media experts, and first up is Terry Bailey.

The popular race caller was all over Friday's Sale card, bagging 5 of the 8 winners including best bet Cicero Field at $4.20 odds.

All up, Bailey's Sale domination drove a fat 109% POT.

Also tipping with precision was the TAB's David Salmon.

The Queenslander cleaned up at Doomben on Saturday, nailing 4 of the 9 winners at an average price of $4.65.

This resulted in a handsome 107% POT, and also saw Salmon notch up his second consecutive winning week.

Harness and Greyhound tipsters of the week

Kicking off with the trots and punter Harnesswinners fared best.

The Brisbane local bagged $16.40 pop Major Grandeur at Albion Park on Tuesday.

This one winner came from just 5 tips, which was enough to drive a table-topping 228% POT.

Cracking stuff.

Moving onto the greys and it was young race caller Hayden King who came out on top.

The SKY Racing man cleaned up at Mandurah dogs on Sunday, nailing 8 of the 12 winners at a juicy average price of $5.85.

Greyhound Tips

Hayden King mauls the bookies at Mandurah

This resulted in a mind-blowing 290% POT for King and his followers.

There's sure to be plenty more of those after this showing.
