UK Import the talk of the town
The early betting action again guides us this week, with a number of runners at both key venues attracting early market support.
At Flemington a Waller import finally reaches his optimal distance and could be the big improver now rock-hard fit.
Whilst at Randwick a Mornington based visitor appears a very interesting runner for a lethal betting stable.

Flemington Tips
Mirzann
Waller runner who is reaching peak fitness now following three runs this preparation.
He has started favourite at his past two starts and is likely to be showing them plenty at home, to warrant the strong support in betting.
The step up to 2540m looks ideal and this may be the distance he will explode at.
Watch betting again late!
Craig
UK import for Busuttin/Young who has been the talk of the town since arriving especially following his 4-length romp at Bendigo to win at his Australian Debut.
He had genuine excuses at Flemington last start when placing 2 of 14, after being held up at a crucial stage.
Fitter now they may ride a touch closer in-run. If he is given clean air he should atone here and be winning.
Veloce Carro
Won impressively last start here over 1200m when dropped on them from a midfield position.
Given the switch back to 1100m here they may ride closer and could be tagging the leaders, sitting just in behind.
Provided from the low draw he can navigate away from the inside lanes early, he should be one of the strongest late.
Links
Often opens well over the odds which appears to be case here after plenty of early market interest at the initial $21.
She has an electric turn of foot on her day, and the stable firmly believe she can be a consistent Saturday metro grade performer.
She remains against her own age group here and draws the right part of the track (gate 14) to find the preferred ground for Flemington straight racing.
Randwick Tips
It’s A Wonder
Went very close at this track over 1600m last start when finishing 4 of 12 and only beaten 0.8 lengths.
He should be well suited by the step up to 1800m now, as he was forced to chase from a long way back last time out and was still strong through the line.
Given the soft draw and added fitness they may opt to ride a touch closer on this occasion which can make all the difference.
Amberite
Interesting runner for the Matt Laurie stable who is traveling this gelding from his Mornington base, in a move which is likely to be well thought out.
He was good at Caulfield last start when placing 2 of 15 over 2000m when fought hard all the way to the line.
This race lacks depth and from the mid-draw they can find the ideal position in the moving line, just behind the speed with cover.
Rain Lord
Team Snowden are in good form and must have the internal processes firing, which points to this runner being primed.
He has an excellent second-up record (3:2-1-0) where he should strip much fitter following the first-up run, where the betting drift ($3 out to $4.40) said he was not ready.
I'm expecting good intent to be shown by the rider here and given a clear passage he should be winning.
Putt For Dough
Has superior tactical speed and from the low draw can again position ideally, on or close to the pace.
He is now rock-hard fit following plenty of recent racing and provided he can hold form he should be very strong at the end.
They will sit just in behind the leaders and peel early to apply pressure from the 400m mark.
