Group 1 - J.J. Atkins (1600m)
The JJ Atkins at Eagle Farm on Saturday is the last chance for this season’s juveniles to bag a Group 1 victory.
The race looks wide open with Tannhauser coming off a strong 1400m victory in Sydney your current favourite.
History
Four of the last five winners have been trained in NSW.
Every winner during that time finished 1st or 2nd in their final lead-up
Trackwalker Info
Lanes 1,2,3 all appear somewhat inferior and we are expecting the bulk of the winners to come from Lanes 4+
The Sweet Spot is around Lane 12, the two or three Lanes on either side of this mark appear the best ground, but getting there will be the issue.
Look for big fields, genuine tempo and strong midfield runners.
Then find a backmarker that can latch onto the back of a horse and get taken out to these Golden Lanes.
Good luck with that!
Speed Map
The map suggests the tempo could be lightning.
Pace drawn wide, middle and low should ensure this is no crawl.

Miracle Of Love
She’s the daughter of 3YO Triple Crown winner Dundeel and out of one of the best fillies we’ve seen in decades, Mis Finland, who won the Golden Slipper – VRC Oaks double.
Her recent win in a far easier race was a spectacle you rarely see.
She was headed at the top of the straight with a rival coming from behind her and establishing a length break.
The rival then laid in, tightening up Miracle Of Love before she lifted and rallied back under immense pressure to win through a narrow opening.
For a 2YO to do this it shows enormous spirit and her sectionals suggest the mile will suit.
Great each-way play!
