Sandown Hillside Race 7 #5 Tasman Park $3.40
This runner put in a top effort first up, coming between runners to finish 5th at a Saturday meeting.
He drops in grade here but only goes up 1kg due to top apprentice Wiremu Pinn's 3kg claim.
Pinn comes into this fresh off riding 3 winners at this track on Saturday and has been in top recent form with 4 winners from his last 10 rides.
He has not been done a favour with the draw but with speed drawn inside this lightly-raced Gelding, he should be able to slide across and sit wide with cover.
The step up in trip to the 1500m second-up will suit and he will not mind the sting out of the ground.
Has a 60% winning strike rate and can make that even better with another win today.

Randwick-Kensington Race 1 #8 Immortal Island $7.00
The price is good enough here for me to have a speck on this Neasham trained colt.
He failed to deliver at his first trial over the short 800m at Warwick Farm, but hit back strongly when stepping out over 1030m at Rosehill.
His second trial was eye catching and a similar effort here will see him in the finish.
Dylan Gibbons takes the ride and he draws great in barrier 2.
Can land in a great position from the draw and with the light weight will be charging late.

Doomben Race 4 #11 Great Aspirations $5.50
This Savabeel 3YO won his maiden easily two starts back, before stepping up to a Class 1 last start.
He was caught three wide the trip on a heavy track and can be forgiven for finishing 3 lengths off the winner.
Leading trainer Tony Gollan has since sent him back to the trials, where he looked sharp running second without being asked for an effort.
Jockey Ryan Maloney will have to make a decision early in the piece from barrier 12 whether to push forward, though he gets a good 300 metres to the first turn to find a position.
The favourite is jumping from a maiden win to a class 1 which is never easy to do, and Great Aspirations appears a great chance at a nice price.
